Yea, now I have 3 saloon corollas   

Did you lift the engine little bit away from the firewall then market
and drilled the front and rear mounts?

I think I will have to do that just to gain some clearance when
in MAD acceleration mode so that the intake wont hit the firewall

no i didnt.. i have more room than you though lol , but not that much more lol

Today I did a little car dance

I shorted out what needs to be done to my Project corolla first
then put the bonnet back on and took the turbo off the hedders
I have to have my ae101 blue hatch friend lathe the surface of it.


Then the car dance, moved the 4wd corolla out and
the black Gsi FX body inside so I could work on it.


It has lowering springs in front but no lift kit, only got the lift kit in the rear now.


I think I´ll keep it like that but find new fender, door and tail light

The things next up are alter the front and rear gearbox mount at my dads garage

you need to get a proper garage after doing this swap and then start selling the conversion package to people.. or even drive them to the UK and sell them here

Where do you live? Iceland?

I prepped the 4wd ae111 for transport to my ae101 blue hatch friends garage
where im going to store it for couple of day until I can lift it up in the lift in my
dads garage and finish welding the eingine mounts, propshaft moldings into
the floor and fix my own fuel tank strap because I cant find one thats long enough

Here´s where I parked out side my house next to the ocean


I had forgot to fasten the bolts in the rear drivetrain
the ones that hold the hubs to the supframe


Done and ready for transport



The first drive with the 4wd drivetrain in place   


And here it will sit for couple of days hopefully a week max!



Then another roadtrip


Picked up the silver saloon


Took two buddies with me, vanilla and choklet   


Home sweet home but the trip home did not go as planed, I almoast
lost the left rear tier off on the way because someone had cut one of
the strut bar that holds the hub to the rear subframe bolted to the car
and I knew about it but could not loosen the rest of the bolt that was
sticking out so on the way the bolt loosen up and fell out!!!


I had another (what the hell is it called?) with me and when the whole
tier with the shock was trying to get away from the corolla doing 70km
It left a little scar, I put it back to geather with the tie bar rods I had with me





Then the Green saloon, I started fixing it yesterday and I cant believe how
good it is and how goot it is to drive it, Im really thinking about selling my
fiances subaru legacy and give her the corolla instead...

It had a dent in the rear fender which I fixed so now it looks real good
only thing left to do now is find another rear passenger door for it and
take it to smog and hope it will pass

Then I fixed the black 3door FX corolla, the engine with new timing
belt and waterpump is in, and Im almost done, just need another dizzy cab...



Then I had to fix my old G6 corolla which I made 4wd in the past


The exhaust fell apart somehow



Never been in this situation befor with this corolla, no, never in my life   
just around 7 times, first it had 1.3 then 1.6 4age then another 1.6 4age
then 4age 20v silvertop then 20v blacktop then 7afe, then with Turbo   

Am I Sick?

This week has been really good, Ive done 3 engine swaps!

I dropped the FX body and pushed it out



All to push this one in, Its the first ae101 saloon I had on page 1


This is the new hart, engine from the blue ae111 my project car


The owner feeling randy to drive the car


Its in and wont start for more then 2sec, I found out quickly the fuelpump
dosent surge more then 1sec then dies and the relay klicks just sometimes
going to look into that, I got the car with a dead engine so I dont know if
someone took some relay out or what, have to check everything out now.


Then had a misshap, dropped the sump bolt into the bucket   
mmmmm.. Choklet..


So going back to the ae101 silver saloon, when I went to get it, it was
missing few things, alternator, left front shock and spring, radiator,
battery, one tie rod to subframe as talked about earlier, fuel tank,
complete exhaust, front parking lights and rear trunk spoiler...



So today I went about getting things back on it, got the fuel tank, parking lights,
exhaust (from my blue ae111), rear trunk spoiler, alternator (blue ae111),
had already got the tie rod bar and shock so I could haul it home..

Hope you guys enjoy so far, cant wait to start fabricating the gearbox mounts
in the blue ae111 beast then the electric is the next "big" thing to tackle, I
cinda want to see it running befor doing exhaust and drive shaft stuff.

This did not always be like this, believe it or not I did not have any car
interest in my early age, when I became 16years old (drivers license at 17
in my country) my best friend at the time became 17 and bought his first
car a corolla liftback 1993, I think that same year the movie TAXI from France
came out you know the car film the one with the white Peugeot 406


He set about doing something simular to his ride and I tagged along with him
everywhere he went I watched and the end result was this grate looking car
and today its 4wd drivetrain from gt4 st185 and the 3sgte engine also but he
never finished it and its been 9years since I saw him and the car..


He had close friends that all where doing the same thing and only guys on
corollas and when Fast and Furious 1 came out everything just blew up in the
car world in my country, stereos, bodykits, big rear wings, rims and alot more..

Here are couple of the Toyota friends and their cars the last 10years or more



Present day (same as above)




Old friend all the way from preschool made this one, got it when he turned 17
and still has it to day, he made it 20v blacktop (the blacktop engine ended
in my G6 4wd after the silvertop died) Today its 4wd with 7afe engine 1800cc
he never uses the corolla it just sits in his driveway


My friends (now blue) ae101 hatch, was green then painted white


Then painted lexus is200 blue 2013 (he just sold the car   )


This one is the most altered corolla, around $40.000 spent




He did 20v blacktop turbo swap with 300hp or more


So its safe to say I got the corolla plage really bad but me and my blue
hats friend are the only ones I know that are still going hard at this for
the fun of it, others have just gone other route, bikes, offroad you name it

I was the first one to do the 4wd swap and with 20v 4age



I made alot of friends from doing that, the reputation for doing something
that no one had done was huge, still today guys step up to me and ask me
about the swap and what Im doing to day, also guys call me to ask my opinion
about what to do with their corolla which is also awesome, Im the Corolla
Love Guru  

I just love doing what I do and If things roll out like Im planing I will be doing
what I love most as a working career...


So now back to the Corollas   

It was another moving day today


I just finished the green ae101 engine swap for my friend that bought it from me



Little bit of cleaning


It starts really grate and drives grate also



Theres a reason for the rear being so low

Then moved the saloons and set about switching the interiors

Took me one hour to swap interiors from one to the other


Then pushed the silver ae101 inside


Set about fixing rust behind the fuel tank area


This actually not that much, i would say less then in my blue ae111



But then the fuel tank straps where rusted away
and the place for the bolts was just not there!



So I have to do some welding under there so I can bolt the fuel tank up
and I did not want to do that if the engine was busted so I went to check
on that to make shore it was ok which it was (just came in from the garage
started it with fuel gas in can)



So the ones that read through the thread already know I have couple of 4age
engines to spare and I was talking to my blue hatch friend about swapping one
in the silver ae101 and Turbocharging it and go race the quarter mile for fun
hes doing something simular and would be nice to do this together step by step

And I ment to post this earlier but I was fitting the next winter mode on my
diesel Pajero just for fun and trying to see what I have to cut out so I can
drive it without rubbing hehehe, this is what Iceland is known for putting big
tiers under everything with 4wd..

Well it´s just a thought, Im also looking into swapping my 1mz-fe V6 engine
into it but with fwd gearbox and mainly stock mods to begin with...

But Im going to finish my 4wd/rwd build ae111 first befor summer!

On with the show

Ive been fairly busy last two weeks, I got a job finally,
Im working on engines, turbos and transmissions for a
Mitsubishi Diesel Engine company or MD Engine as its called.

So I got my nr.2 dream job working with engines all the time wich I love doing

I finally got the my first saloon finished and drove it to my friends house



And he just sold it to his little brother


Looking lonley that FX corolla, still waiting for the owner to pay me for the fixing


Then I grabbed this on sale yesterday


Its going into my blue ae111 beast


Then swapped steering wheels in the silver saloon



Ive had this MOMO 28mm steering wheel for ages never going to sell it


I had to move the ae111 from my friends house to my Toyota garage


Had some vintage 1985 hub cabs from one of my old MMC in the past just
trying to make it look good so I dont get complain from the neighbours


Who out there would thing this car is Rwd Turbo   
Cant wait to smoke some fast car out there or spin it around its first car meet


So next up is to finish the electric so I can start the engine in the ae111 project
just to see if the engine is alright and then continue the build...

I´ve been swamped at my new job, so sorry for late update

I had to get rid of the black FX corolla before bringin my project over

I finally got paid for the fixing of the FX corolla almost two months later,
his father called me up and paid everything and also called a towing company
and had them pick up the corolla the same day, imagine that...   



And then because I was so swamped at work the past month I thought I would never have
time to make something out of the two ae100 saloons so I put them on sale online and
I got a trade offer the same minute as I posted for a MMC L200 Rwd 1988 model.


I could not pass that up so it became my work car and boy did
I use it this last month and still counting   

Fixing the garden at my house I rent out



Throwing  away shit load of Toyota head and stuff



Moving stuff between garages


And many more times it has come in handy, then bought new (old shcool) Pajero rims


15" x 8.5" wide offset 100mm



And had this laying around, nice tool box



So i´ve been driving this thing around town everyday and loving how it handles, its light
and goes around corners and roundabouts like butter   and so the other day I
decided to swap some more power full engine into it or at least build one and see where
it goes from there...

And what engine to use  other then Toyota!!


I grabbed this 7afe engine from a friend, not shore what went wrong he was driving up
a steep hill and flooring it and then by the time he got over the hill the engine was running
on only 3 cylenders.


Got it home and immediately started tearing it apart to see if I could use it or not



Extremely clean on the inside for an engine driven around 280.000km


Head off


There was nothing to see wrong in the bottom end


Then lifted up the head and saw that one of the
exhaust valve on piston 1 was missing a tiny bit


Piston looks grate, so now I have a good bottom end to work with


Yea men, of course a 4age on top!!!


Wait, why not turbo!! (maybe)



Dug out my T50 gearbox to messure the total length and it fits the L200 body!!!


And just for laughs  I shoved the L200 inside the garage, no way to swap engines in there!   


Then took one of the two step brothers sitting out side in the rain, summer is clearly in Iceland   



Then finally I found time this weekend for my nr.1 project car I towed the
project to my dads garage to lift it up and finish couple of things down under


In my dads street, there is a little steep running down to his garage I was alone at this
so I had to keep the corolla from running down the street and trough the garage and into
his garden :Dsafe to say I got a grate leg day out of it, corolla had no brakes!


And it in goes and up




I finished working on the brakes, new pads in front, good but used in the rear,
air leaked them and drilled the rear hubs for the fwd model handbrake cables that where already hooked up to the car, finished bolting the fuel tank up and
connected it to the existed fuel lines and connected the electric for the fuel pump.

I already towed it back home to my garage, next up is to connect the engine
to the harness and ecu to see if the engine is OK or trash then take the next
step forward or back     7.9.13

Damn how time is doing a burnout, drift and doughnuts around me!

Ive been so busy at work that everytime I got home I just hang out
with my family and then early to bed, this job is killing all my playtime   
and on top of that working with engines ALL THE TIME DAY AFTER DAY
I dont want to think about another engine when I come home at the end
of hard day at work.....

I wanted to make this easy, cheap and something I knew something
about from the back of my head, so I decided (still progressing all of it)
to use 4AGE ecu and harness with the modern 3SFE engine sensor plugs
to be fitted in my 4EFE 1300cc corolla body meaning I needed the relaybox
in the enginebay and the alternator, starter, STA, +B wires and move them
into the 4AGE engine harness.... just a whole lot of crap to put togeather   

So let start this thing then... (box of life)


Found a really good 4AGE harness to use


Then I needed the interior plug from the 4AGE ecu to connect to
my ae111 corolla interior harness. So i dug up a AE92 4age GTI interior
harness in one of my boxes, actually found 3 of them and I dont know where from!

Put then I dug some more and found it already cut in the bottom of the box


Then dug out some more harnesses


Made a table and printed out bunch of ecu pinouts, 4AGE, 3SFE and 4EFE
sat down and made a wire relocation map that took me an hour.


Then I started on the 4EFE harness




The bids Im going to use to give life to the 4AGE ecu


Then started on the 4AGE harness


So to sum things up and answer why Im using 4AGE ECU to run the 3SFE?

I want the extra 1000rpm that the 4AGE uses,
I want the T-vis system (thinking of making it work on the engine)
I have a aftermarket chip that fools the ECU to mesure extra air
I already plugged supra 310cc injectors that work with the 4AGE ecu like a glove

Im trying to get a used GE head from a 3SGE  from that black celica
I posted couple of pages ago, hes going turbo with another 3SGTE
engine so im crossing my fingers that he will hand me the stock head
or the complete 3SGE engine from the celica making my corolla a GTI
they where about 165hp and with my 310cc injectors making a little
more that should make it around the same amount as a ka24de nissan
engine and I had a 240sx s13 befor with that engine and I just loved
the accurate power it made to drift in high revs flooring that damn thing.


Im smelling burned rubber not so far distance  

My job is killing me, Im so tired all the time!

Wiring is still in progress

Still figuring out what wires to cut away completely and
what wires to move over to the 4AGE engine harness.


My sister came over the other day and needed better tiers so I
swapped over my 14" alseason tires for her 15" flat summer tiers


Looks good on 15" but those rims are ugly, my plan was 16" later on.


Hoping I finish the wiring this next weekend,
at least so I can check if the engine is ok or not

Finally..

I finished the wiring today only have to close it all when I know its working right

Trying to figure out how to lay it down right, some of the wires dont reach the sensors


Opened it up little more and tucked it in


Finished wiring the ecu in to the dash plug


I took the sparkplugs out of the 3sfe engine and crank the engine
to build up oil pressure, then tried starting it to life but there is no
spark to the sparkplugs I messured every wire in the engine bay
and all seams to work 100% in my wiring job, I think the dizzy is
not working right, I already did the engine light fault code
and the only codes that came was 4 and 8 which are ,,engine coolant
temp sensor signal" and ,,Intake air temp sensor signal"

And then the fuel pump died so I just gave up for to day...

This could be the dizzy cap, I have not checked it out yet
could also be the leads but they looked ok to me but the
sparkplugs had way to much gab in them more then 1mm
I think it has to be 0.6mm and they where rusty as an old
boat, the coil pack is behind the dizzy cap

also going to pick up some more igniters for fault test

A whole lot of mess!


Finally found time to do just small things...

I had a box of fuel pumps somewhere and finally found it and switched the pumps


Had to change the filter also and then put it all together and into the fuel tank


So now I had fuel pressure much more then be for but I didnt have spark
so I took the dizzy cap of to have a look and measured the coil witch was good


But the MC.Hammer was trash, two plug wires and the dizzy cap was trash


And the spark plugs where trash to


I measured the ingiters I had and all of them measured the same
Im going to get replacement parts next friday
