| Hi, my name is Rachid and I'm from the Netherlands. This rolla is my first car and I intend to keep it alive as long as possible. It all started in 2k10 when I bought it, I think I am the fourth owner now, my girlfriend had the GXi version but the previous owner upgraded some parts to GTSi. I was quite happy the first weeks, but then I wanted more luxury, power windows, power mirrors and a central locking system... I then looked up a few things on the Corolla forum of the Netherlands and bought the GTSi wiring from a member, I think I have some pictures somewhere from the swap... will post them asap! As you might have figured the project is far from over, until recently I didn't even have bumpers in the same color as the car, but now I do Some of the plans are: - JDM folding mirrors and maybe M3-style mirrors - Eventually a BlackTop swap or a 3S-GTE - A new color for the car (I was thinking about lime green) - A brand new Alpine audio install with navigation and an extra screen for the passenger - The original bumper lip and so on... when I have the time I will update

| Hi Rachid, welcome to the site! That's a great choice for a first car. As you probably would have seen, they're packed full of potential. I have some JDM power folding mirrors for sale right now if you're interested. Pics are available in the for sale thread. I look forward to seeing your progress. Post some pics when you get the chance | |

| Thanks! I'm still glad I chose my rolla. Unfortunately some nitwit drove into my rolla and damaged the trunk and side. Luckily no damage that cant be fixed, but I would like the rolla to be restored first now... But I'm surely interested in the mirrors, aswel as the armrest. Will get back to you regarding that asap | |

| And ofcourse as my XLi was not loaded with fun options, I had to change out the wiring in order to install central locking, power windows and power mirrors... Cleaning out the car: Remove it all... Almost done... All clear! Stat! Time for a break After replacing the wiring it's time to re-install it all Ofcourse the doors also needed some improvement: | |

| And then someone bumped into my car So I had to get a new trunklid and while I was at it, I bought some second hand bumpers as wel. Just need to get the garage to remove all scratches from the car... saving up for that Before: After with a new trunklid: New front bumper: | |

| Yes it's indeed 6M3 I kinda like the color now, I think it's because I have bumpers in the same color now, looks like a million times better! Still need the lip tho and ofcourse install some fog lamps, working on the fitting part and thinkin about wiring another fog lamp switch instead of the door lock switch. | |

You could use the combination switch from a model that had them from factory, like Ishaq suggested. Or do what I did and put a switch by the handbrake (if you have blanks there). The switch I used is OEM and came on Corollas that had factory option fog lamps. That way you can wire it up to a switched power source, so that the fog lights turn off when you remove the key from the ignition: | |

| That is also a good idea Scott, 'cause I have some spare slots to fill... Will keep you posted on the progress This weekend Ima help my dad get his Audi A4 to shine again, hopefully a friend of mine has some time too, to help me adjust the wiper motor on the trunklid. That way I can put the wiper in horizontal rest mode instead of vertical. | |

| Thanks, this weekend I was trying to fix the door panels with Skai leather, just did one door, but it looked terrible. Will be trying it again when I get back from my holiday, which is in august. For now I think I'll just replace my bumper bar(?), the top bar on which the bumper is fitted. It has a nick in it, so it needs to be replaced... just waiting for the package to arrive now. | |
