| Bought this back in '09 off a friend used it as a daily when I didn't want to be driving my '87 Trueno due to weather etc. Never missed a beat but liked it's fair share in oil. When I got it I had to replace the downpipes which were blowing and replace the rear lateral links and replace the seized handbrake cables. As time went by I replaced the rear trailing arm bushings and front wishbone bushings with polyurethane bushings which I bought on ebay from Poland. I upgraded the front callipers to twin pots which I rebuilt along with the rear callipers. I replaced the MOMO oem steering wheel with a MOMO Sport. Probably other stuff too but I can't remember. Over last Christmas the engine started idling funny so I tried a compression test and got 7 Bar in cyl 1 and 14 Bar in the others, tried cyl 1 again and now it was 0, then again and it was 9 Bar. It turned out to be a broken valve seat and maybe a bent valve as there was a mark on the piston. So I rebuilt another engine using blacktop rods with ARP bolts, ACL mains and thrust bearings and Toyota big ends, Toyota rings, full Toyota gasket set and Blacktop cams and pulleys and blacktop flywheel which I fired up last night. I also fitted a new clutch and a gearbox from an FX GT as mine crunched in nearly all gears since I bought the car. Last week I got a call "well boy, you want a brand new AE101 Varis carbon bonnet for handy money?" Considered it for 20 mins and said sure why not, so went up and collected it that night so I guess the car is in for a makeover. Had a look on Yahoo auctions and found a Wise Sports grill and bought that too. And so it starts I have to refurbish 2 of my 15" TE37s so I guess I'll have to repaint all 4 and get new stickers. I'd prefer bronze ones but for the price I got them I can't complain. I'm on the lookout now for a front lip etc. and I'm going to lower it again with decent springs this time. Anyway some pictures: A wash in the first bit of sunlight for 8 months A picture from last year trying out the Volks, look how good that paint is Nice fresh clean engine A dusty Varis box And the grill I'm waiting on

| Bought an AE111 BZG the other day as I spotted a few goodies on it that I planned to swap onto my AE101. After buying it I discovered a lot more than originally expected. Mine's ecu, Toda 264 cams, GReddy 10 row oil cooler, Fujitsubo 4-2-1 manifold, RSR exhaust, Ohlins inverted struts all round, Gram Light wheels, Cusco LSD, Cusco front strut brace to name a few bits. | |

| Not Honda but the car is '96 so I guess the Integra being launched had something to do with it | |

| Found the shop name in Hyper Rev vol 18 that did the Levin Type R decals but lent it to a friend and can't remember the name. He's on about scanning them so if he does I'll post a link. | |

| Auto Rest is the shop name that did the Levin Type R decals. Anyway before and after shot of the grill. It badly needs a front lip or full bumper. | |

| I like the new black grille! And sure it could use a front lip, but I think lowering it first would be better! | |

| I'm a lemon with a camera so what you get is what you see. I'll ask my buddy that took the photo of my Trueno to do something. Pity I'm missing an AE92 coupe haha.
The bumper on my AE86 is a late spec Trueno with early spec lip. There was no lip available for the late spec bumper.
Any recommendations for lower springs for my AE101. I don't want to spend too much so no coilovers. | |
