I need to wire them up and also spray the black bits but I was still in 2 minds wether I want to keep them or not. I cant belive how much they cost, they are brand new and never fitted from what I can tell

I needed cheering up as my igniton broke this week so this has put a smile on my face

Let me know what you guys think but I am thinking I will keep them

Duude! I love it, I think it looks awesome. The silver lights match your headlights and pop from the black grille, and just looks really cool.

She has a good eye then haha. I'd definitely keep it, it's unique, almost nobody else has it, and it looks cool (imo)

I never thought I'd ever see my head lights with that grille!!!! Shame it's not on MY car hahahaha.

Looks very nice, I'm also in shock at how cheap that was. If you had not bought it, I would have if I had my Corolla.

I also like the grille in black on your car, it seems to work, if you do decide it is too much work to paint.

they are complete with bulbs too haha not bad for 20squid lol

you reckon it should stay black or paint silver ishaq? my painitng skills arnt brill, i was thinking paint it myself then if i fail take it to a sprayer lol

i personally think silver but only because the rest of your car is colour coded (wing mirrors, door handles and the rubber strip down the sides)

yeh i think i will spray it at some point but its ok for now im pleased i got it

I have found grilles the easiest to paint... plus silver is an easy color to do! I still like it either way though

yeh im definatly gunna paint it and see the difference will be few weeks yet though im bit skint atm

I like the black, makes the lights in the grille pop more, but painting it would be cool too

yeh its a bit too bold for me lol i think it will look a bit smoother when its painted im tryin to get more hours at work to fund stuff lol

ok new drop links have arived so hopefully if it will be dry sunday as me and a m8 are gunna fit the new suspension hopefully lowering it 30mm all round i dont think i will notice much in height but im hoping it puts a stop to a lot of the body roll

you will definetly notice the drop lee, i guarantee it

It won't look slammed, but it sure will look GOOD! And it should be more fun in the corners

i certainly hope so just hope its dry on sunday

***update***

We started the lowering process today and omg it has been hiccup after hiccup after hiccup, turns out the drop links were ceased (thanks for the heads up ishaq).

We didnt have the tools to get the damn things off so we spent about 1hr and half trying to do the first one on the front. Eventually (a few bent bars later and a lot of patients) we gave in and managed to get hold of an angle grinder and we hacked the bolts off, thanks to ishaq I have a complete new set to go on

We managed to finish the front but then we started the back and it became apparent that the rears that I had to go on have got the tops on the wrong way round so plan is my mechanic has taken them away to a m8s to get a spring compressor and turn the tops round so that they are the right way. It seems the left is on the right side etc etc. Im hoping this works :S

So this is how far we got, the front was done today and rear will be completed tommorow or next couple of days. This leaves the car nose diving for now but its only subtle. I have taken some pics but more pics to follow tommorow once the job is completed

Good work dude, lowered hatchs have a warm place in my heart.

Those drop links can be a real pain if they haven't come off in a while.
Good work though, I can't wait to see the finished product

also the rear should have bolted straight on, hopefully it will be done tomorow.. any pics of it lowered on the front?

Aw man, this totally reminds me of my first suspension install! I had no clue what I was in for... all those bolts were stuck, especially the end links. I ended up needing new end links in the back because I just couldn't get them off. And a spring compressor is a must! And my rear knuckle bolt was completely stuck in there, $350 later my mechanic had it replaced lol. I had to drive nose-dive style for a day lol. But you'll get there, and the result was so worth it!

Can't wait to see pics!! What brand are the springs and struts?

And that grille looks mean. Looks unique, but clean at the same time. Reminds me of a rally machine.

Have you considered painting the grille to match your paint? Or leave it the way it is?
