| Nah you can paint amps... no problem. If you can paint valve covers then amps wont be a problem I've seen it before here. Not too fond of all the results, but it can be done | |

| Or just polish the crap out of it hahah, that'd be cool but if you do paint it, certainly take pics, that'd be interesting to see actually haha. | |

| Ok im really having a bad time lately, I was driving home from work friday morning and ermmmmmm I think the big end has gone. It was rattling and all sorts. The recovery guy came (they sent a flat bed straight away......not a good sign ) he notied that it had no oil and i got a lift back to my local garage I dont know if this is the end of her or wether i am going to get her repaired. I am awaiting to hear the garage verdict and then go from there. For now I am faced witha decision, option 1 - fix her option 2 - maybe transfer another engine option 3 - buy new car and scrap her we shall see | |

| Really sorry to hear bro. This happened to my cousin. It's definitely repairable but can be costly depending on what's damaged and where you take it to get repaired. If you take it to a shop, make sure you ask for proof if they're telling you something needs to be replaced because of damage. Don't just take their word for it. Our cars have a habit of burning oil so be sure to keep an eye on it every few hundred miles. | |

| bit late to tell me that now lmao i only checked it tuesday and it was fine i suspect it came from oil filter as there was a bit of smoke coming from it when i lifted the bonnet | |

| I have been thinking long and hard about this for last couple of days. I hate to say it but I cannot justify putting a new engine into it. I would love too but I havent connected to this car I have held back from modifying because it just seems one thing after another goes wrong. I think I am going to fix her and then sell her and get something else. Sad to see her go but she really doesnt do it for me and think its time for me to move on guys sorry. No point in me driving a car that im just not happy with. | |

| That's entirely fair. I hope you do stick around the forums though if that's the way you choose to go with the car! | |

| dont give up, I remember my engine blew within 3 months of me purchasing it. I somehow blew the head gasket and lost compression, and stupidly drove it all the way (up big hills too lol) on 1 cylinder to my home where I later toed it to the shop. I must say that was a scary moment for me as I was just starting to enjoy my new car. Still to this day, have no clue how it blew up. I never reved it that hard, I reved it, but not hard. I think it had something to do with the previous owners driving.? I ended up paying a rediculous $2000 to have it rebuilt (reconditioned head cylinder and new rotor, cap plugs and bunch of other stuff). Wish I just swapped for a 2.0 Blacktop 6 Speed which I could of gotten to because I got a quote from a friend who said he would install it for $700 and I could of got the engine package for $2000 or so from JDM Toronto. ahhh, dammit why didnt I lol anywho, if you do decide to sell, you could buy a saloon instead | |
