| Ok guys, I have a standard silver top 20v in my car at the moment. Yesterday I bought, I want to add some black top parts for a bit more speed, acell etc, I now have Black top ECU, Harness, MAP sensor, Air intake Temp sensor...First of all, do any of you have or know of any videos, that would help us in installing the new harness? or any diagrams that shows what goes where etc any kind of help would really be appreciated. Secondly, I have now Black top Cams, Intake Throttles, Extractor, and a few more things...I also heard that with the black top throttles..the hoses and vaccume lines dont fit back the same exact way as the silver top throttles, and I would need to find someone who knows which hoes runs to where etc, any videos, diagrams,, or instructions any of you car Guru's can pass on to me would be geatly appreciated!.. Thank you guys in advance, I humbly await your replies. | |

| Have you got a complete Blacktop head? as the best way is to bolt Blacktop head to Silvertop block. If not - Throttles won't fit direct as stud positions are different, Blacktop and Silvertop inlet profiles are different [manifold to head] and yes the vacuum hoses are different. The extractor will fit and is 32mm [Silvertop is 30mm] but unless you port/polish the head will not gain much power.

| I have a Blacktop head also, but I didnt plan to do so much work as in swapping the head. xD, I thought the throttles would fit back as long as I have the Black top throttle gasket for it (which I do) I have some friends here to have it done as well. I am thinking about porting and polishing also. Btw Is it true that I would get more compression using the silver top block and black top head, than having a full black top? Some mechanics here say so, something to do with the way the pistons fit in the silvertop block as it reacts to the head. Idk, your thoughts i await. | |

| Blacktop throttle bodies will not fit Silvertop manifold as holes/bolts do not line up. Blacktop inlet is larger [different shape] to Silvertop so cannot be swapped with just a gasket. You would have to remove head to port and polish. Combustion chambers are different shape in Blacktop to Silvertop so this would alter compression ratio.
