| My name is paul, i joined the club on the first of jan 2012. Glad that i did as it gives me more reason to tinker with my e11. Within a couple of weeks on the way home from work one night, I had just finished a 12 hour shift i was going down an unlit country lane in heavy rain (doing the legal speed limit), a cyclist dressed in dark clothing with no lights on just came from behind a hedge at a good rate of speed, he went straight in to the front passenger side wing, hit the window and bounced off the roof, so some of you may assume im a poor driver but bad things can happen to any of us. Anyway as im running over to aid him aswell as on the phone to the emergency services his friend decides to start hitting me in the head. The out come in the end was the cyclist having a broken leg, me getting sent on a drivers awareness course and fined £275 aswell as the damage to my car. The best part is he even tried getting me done for a racist assault even though the guy was the same skin tone as me and i had never met him before. So just to verify im NOT racist and I dont have any sort of problems with responsable cyclists. Will post pics very soon comments welcome thanks. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] And then followed the repairs [img] [/img] [img] [/img] About 2 weeks after the repairs i decided to swap the stardered gs front bumper for a G6 grille and bumper with fogs and splitter. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] This is it so far let me no what you think or any ideas.

| yeah I admit the story was very interesting enough that I read it all as one sentence anyway! I never really understood stupid cyclists and those who felt the road belonged to them. Since I do both driving and cycling, I try to keep a good perspective about both I was riding along some parked cars, and one of the doors opened right in front of me because they didn't look. I crashed into it of course and ended up on the road, but as soon as I realized I wasn't dead, I was apologizing to the guy for hitting his door. He was equally sorry. See! Not so hard to be nice to each other, and everyone is happy | |

| I get what you mean i did feel horrid for what happened. But didnt feel totally to blame the police officer said if i was to take it to the judge the chances are i would get a bigger fine and points on my license. they were his words so i just chose to bite the bullet so to speak. (pics added)

| I agree, I love that color! Your sig pic looks very nice. It sure did a lot of damage, like hitting a deer here lol. But it's no fair, you edited your post so now it's not a long sentence and my first post doesn't make any sense lol | |

| lol im not the best on knowing where to put commers and full stops etc so had to try and fix it mate.
The last few days I have been trying to light weight the car and took out the obvious bits such as the cd player, speakers, parcel shelf, rear seats, rear door cards, rear wiper motor, and hopefully picking up a lighter battery later on will add pics soon

| It's not dangerous so much, but it's under pressure. I personally hit mine with a hammer (accidentally) and broke it and the freon stuff went all over, but it evaporated no problem.
Maybe you could give your AC to whiteoldcorolla!

| Heres what I have been doing the last few days. This is a blank i made out of some plastic wrapped in vinyl to save having the weight of a cd player, better than having a random hole [img] [/img] Took out all the rear interior and unecessary bits and bobs. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] Thats it up to now. Will be making some blanks for were the rear door card holes tomorrow hopefully | |
