Thanks Gold94corolla " Top notch" is the name of the game for my car and that's pretty much what am striving for. The arm rest is a nice addiction for 2 reasons, not only for rear passengers comfortability but also acts as a port for the sub woofer when i play my tunes

| Hi guys been along time. I wish i could be updating this thread with goodies and improvements i had plan for this beauty but sadly thats not the case. First off i'am proud to say am a father now, bless with a beatiful baby girl her name is Orianna. As for Shinobi ( the corolla's name ) she started giving alot of trouble on the day my daughter was born to the point it had to go to the mechanic cause it started to make a knocking sound, so i'll start with the chain of events, so have a seat lads if your standing for this short story lol. Ok so the evening i took my baby mum to the hospital ( which was a friday ) and was returning home the car started to over heat, which was odd cause i top up the coolant 2 days ago. Manage to get it home and started troble shooting to find out the cooling fan wasnt working, so i tried a solution i thought that wud work. I took off the fan switch connection and turn the key to see if the fan would run continously, that didnt work so which i suspected the fan switch was also no good. So deciding i wud take it to get diagosed of the troubles before i buy anything on monday, i took the car for a early morning drive to the gas station this was on the sunday and as i got ther i saw loads of smoke billowing under the car, when i checked the inlet radiator hose burst and coolant was spraying all on the engine block what else cud go wrong i though. So i manage to get it back home with the temp needle 2 notches away from the red line manage to get a new hose later that day and replaced it. Then monday came and got it dianose and was told both the fan switch and fan motor was dead, so i went on tuesday to get those and a head gasket because i also suspected a leak, then organise with my mechanic to wrk on it wednesday. Then it happened, on my commute home taking it nice n easy just a few clicks away from home the noise of a knocked engine appeared ....how cud this be i have no oil issues and oil level is good, got it home n held my head in dispear. Called a wrecker i knew on wednesday morning and got it down to the mechanic, waited about a week and was called for it. Now here is the kicker what made the knocking sound was not the engine but the bearing for the AC belt tensioner I never had such a relief because i though i had to get bearing or worst yet an engine block lol. So to sum it up car was restored and its in good working order, but then i started to really think about my future and my daughters one as well and decided to get something younger and more reliable also something i can settle with for years to come. Dont get me worng i love this rolla to death but everytime i get some money to spedn on modding it i have to use it in repairs instead which really bugged me. I know i have 3 special friends here that will be very sad to see it go like i am but i have to get a ride that i have no worries about. Shinobi was sold this morning, i pray the new owner takes care of her n gives her the love i give. So here are 3 recent shots i took with my cell phone in rememberance of my special ride for the past 4 years | |

secondly, what have you done .. the corolla gone? so what did you buy instead? thank you bro as for the next ride there are only 2 am interested in 1 is a 2003 subaru wrx tiptronic and the other is a 2001 Altezza with sunroof, both are very nice clean and in tip top condition. In the process now of getting the subaru, in the case of not getting the scooby for what ever reason then getting the Altezza will be easy. Its either 4wd fun and power or Rwd fun and power... but what ever i get your not getting rid of me that easily am still going to be here on this site and forum. The corolla will always be a part of me and you guys have become like brothers from another mother, plus am very interested in how much you guys have improve with your rides in ways i have difficulty and access to so am definately going to keep you posted on what i get in the very near future

| Yup, actually the Altezza is cheaper than the scooby so its easily affordable, thats why am aiming for the scooby for many reasons but the main are i know the owner of the scooby very well it miliage is low like 80.000 low the guy cleans this car every day along with the AMG merc and a ZM he owns. The scooby only gets drive when he goes tennis and a trip to the supermarket and when his daughter drives it when she visits which is very seldom, he reminds me of me when it comes to car care, you can literily eat food off his engine with desert too lol and he is up to time with maintainance as well. The Altezza will be my last choice if i dont aquire the scooby. I wish i cud buy both to be honest | |

Thanks Shehroze, i really hope so too and that the new owner finishes what i started. I understand what u mean by u wont give it up rather old or not but the idea of the car conking out on me again in a time of need specially with my daughter is what worries me. I envy you guys in the places you live because of the low cost and wide availibility of parts for the rolla, unlike here prices are very high because of the duty on vehicles and in some cases i have to order parts from over seas because of the minimal varity of parts specially in the aftermarket department and getting those here is a headache in it's own If i was in other places like new Zealand or the states i probably wud be finish with my rolla and jus taking loads of pics like Scott and Ishaq and the others. plus i have other hobbies aswell like i breed and show parakeets in competitons, thats on hold at the moment too and i keep a few kois and now i have my precious bundle of joy in my life now so i had to make sacrifices. Its hard to see your love and pride go, every where i go i got a nod of approval with Shinobi and i wasnt even finish with the vision i had for it sigh....she will be dearly missed.
