| I would just like to ask if the brake caliper bracket mounting holes of the AE111 and the EE100 are the same length and if not, how much longer is the caliper bracket holes of the AE111?
my car is a 1996 EE100 corolla and when I upgraded my front brakes to a celica ST-202 super strut 2 pot, I had to trim the rotor to 265mm from 275mm (or about 5mm each side) just to be able to fit it on the brake caliper....
apart from buying a longer brake caliper bracket, are there corolla models that have longer mcpherson style caliper bracket holes than the ones used on stock ae101s or do we really need to buy a celica GT caliper bracket to fit 275mm discs without reduction?
I measured the caliper bracket that I needed and it turns out that I would need a caliper bracket that is 72mm long in order to clear the 275mm celica rotors and the only caliper brackets that are long enough in my search are the Celica GT brackets at 75mm...
but I am not sure if I can buy or even find just the caliper brackets of the right length and measurements here in the Philippines. | |
