I never realized that one wheel was so bad! Yikes! But it looks 100 times better now! Good job. lol thanks chris, the thing about the brackets is that the person who was supposed to fit the bracket just welded them in place so cant exactly take them off lol and i know what you mean about the alloy, looks 100x better

| Well, tar won't help where it's already rusted, but only prevent new rust from forming. Once the rust is there, it's too late. My arch was a bit worse than that, cause it's being eaten from behind. Good luck finding a new panel to weld in, and keeping it rust free!! - miib14 wrote:

| yeah tell me about it, i have been told that there was a company who used to make panels for the corolla that are simply bolt on (out with the old and new one welded in).. | |

| man you got me thinking of doing a 3sgte now.... with that rav4 mount it might make things way easier..... i wish you were closer. i had ordered that dormant purple powder but it was back ordered. i need an excuse to order it again... and i would have loved to do some powdercoating for you.
BTW with your toms, if you wanted to make the red look uniform all the way around, the red comes off really easy with some aircraft stripper. it will leave you with a nice shiny finish that you can tape off and spray with the red tint you have to redo.

| thanks alot bro, means alot coming from you... would have loved to paint the bay dormant purple but it was just one of those things... il try what you said about the wheels when i have some time on my hands again... and you should definetly go through with the 3sgte, even if you want to go for n/a (3sge) you wont be disappointed | |

| i was talking with my biz partner and he told me that the there was a model with a 3sge from the factory... called the trd 2000. and low and behold i did remember seeing one. http://www.7tune.com/trd-2000/
now i'm gonna have to start looking to see if i can track down the right side motor mount. that will dictate how hard a 3sgte will be to swap in.
also with the aircraft stripper, you can use a small paint brush and just put it on the red without hitting the black if you're careful. then it's just a matter of spraying it off or wiping it off carefully so you don't get any on the black. i even stripped the center caps to make a polished set.

| Yeah the the trd 2000 was my inspiration to do this conversion.. Ever since scott posted a pic of it on tn i was like i want that engine in my car... Did as much research as i could and got it done.. If you need a rav4 mount let me know il try and look for one for you...
Also do you by any chance have 1 spare centre cap? Im missing one

| I'm still in doubt what I should do... 3S-G(T)E or 4A-G(T/Z)E, I would like to call this my main first world problem | |

| I would go down the path of 4agte but of couse I'd say that The 4agte uses the same mounts as the 4afe if of course that is what you have. | |

| ishaq, i had a couple questions for you.
do you have any more specifics on how the engine mounts were "custom"? i'd like to get a good idea on how it would go down if i chose to go this route in the future. also your ECU is under the hood, is that where it's supposed to be? is there an advantage to it being there rather than inside the car?
