Manual gearboxes don't have dipsticks, you fill them until the oil comes out the fill plug. | |

| do you have to get gearbox oil up to running temp before you drain ?

| Helps but not essential, manuals don't have the internal complexity of an auto so it's a simple drain (like draining the engine oil), having it warm will make it drain faster | |
