Good cheap brake upgrade

with the right tools around 30mins - 1hour max

Maybe I should try this upgrade as I love driving on twisty roads!

And for calipers in front, what do you need? I am more interested in the caliper with 2 piston. I don't really care about big disk. Soo can I just swap the caliper with the ST204, AT200 calipers?

If the Avensis 1.6 brake calipers fit straight on to Corolla I suspect that the 295mm setup from the D4-D might also. Would require re-drilling discs to 4-Stud but that's relatively simple. I have seen this conversion done on a Celica where it is a straight swap. The corolla, Avensis and Celica all share a common disc centre bore too which makes everything feel 'right'. Is on my list of things to try. Anyone tried this or know any better? Update:I have now done this conversion. Completely bolt on 295mm upgrade with the exception of the disc drilling which was easy. Well man i was reading on another forum and seen you where asking about avensis twin pots, did you ever get them fitted.?

This is very good information here. I would like to upgrade both my cars and the Avensis route looks very attractive to me. I better start searching for the 1.6 1998 Avensis brake system for two cars.

First will this still fit under 14" rims ?

So ive just bought some KZR four pots for the front of my ae101 levin, but i already had some 4agze calipers i was going to fit,someone further up said you can mount the front hub assembly of these gen rollas to the rear, what happens to the handbrake etc? would love some more info so i can try use them on the back!
