| fitting avensis calipers to corolla ... braking improved (i read it here http://toyotaownersclub-irl.forumoti...rsion-t429.htm) went out today and did it... much better braking! got them off a 1998 avensis 1.6. you need the caliper, the carrier and pads, carrier and caliper fits straight on to the corolla hub, corolla brake line bolts straight on to the caliper you can use the corolla disc (left is corolla, right is avensis) (this was just a quick try, the pad sits properly, no touching lol ) | |

| What's the difference between the Corolla caliper and the Avensis caliper? Can't see much difference. Why is it braking better? Seems like a nice upgrade though. I got some nice brake upgrades as well. I'll go for rear brake discs by using the rear hubs, discs and calipers of the E11 G6R model. It set me back 190 Euro's + 90 Euro's for a overhaul-set. Freshly overhauled brakes including some paint => Other option is an upgrade to braided brake lines. HEL and Goodridge are suppliers for the Corolla. It set me back 80 Euro's and will improve pedal feel. These are the Goodridge ones I'll be using => | |

| It's also possible to mount the front hubs of a Corolla Levin. The one with superstrut suspension that is. It'll give you bigger discs and dual-piston calipers. That'll be my next upgrade if I need more stopping power, for sure. | |

im running 205 calipers the stud holes that bolt the caliper on are the same but you need to nut and bolt them on, also the discs will be out i have an st202 5 stud conversion with impreza discs i also have put shims behind the pads as impreza discs are thinner

| I have used ehmm....
Fiat Coupe 20v turbo 305mm brake discs. Alfa Romeo 4 pots Brembo calipers. Custom self made adapters. Steel braided brake hoses.
It was a hell of a job, but it was all worth it.

| I'm not much concerned about cheap things when my brakes are concerned,..i feel Braking systems are designed to respond quickly and efficiently to your commands. To do this, they are designed with exacting clearances. Over time and in response to wear, brake systems often lose some of their "tightness". This leads to longer response times, less efficient braking and less bike control. to avoid this you must take good care of break levers , break pads, brake assemblies. and get it checked after every three months.. | |

| they should do mate, if you buying them from a scrapyard, you could probably try to fit them to a corolla they may have | |
