My old Si :
Shocks : Monroe Sensatrack Springs : TTE (Toyota Team Europe) manufactured by Eibach Also : whiteline heavy duty swaybar rear, 1pc. steel strutbar upper front. Drop about 30mm (1.2") front and rear Comfort : 5/10
On my new si : stock shocks and springs, Whiteline rear swaybar and upper front strutbar Comfort : 9/10, looks 4/10...

cut springs last owner cut a coil on the springs so it very boucey and is low to the floor...also very uncomfortable!

I do not have these anymore but I'd like to post it as a reference for others.
Make: D2 Racing Coilovers ($650)
Height: Adjustable and slammable.
Comfort: 3/10
Pros: Easy to install, looks great, very stiff, adjustable dampening, no rubbing or bottoming at any height because it was so stiff, very adjustable height, car handled like a totally different beast! Awesome road feedback, improved braking and improved throttle respones due to virtually no sudden weight shifts.
Cons: Finding shops that can align coilovers was a hassle, adjustable dampening didn't seem to make too much of a difference, too uncomfortable for long trips. Takes a lot of time and effort to make sure the height is even on all fours.
Conclusion: Coilovers aren't for everyone... and I'm one of those people. lol I do miss it sometimes though. But if I were to get coilovers all over again, I would go with some street entry level ones, not track/racing oriented coilovers.

Height: Not low enough, would be okay with big rims.
Comfort: (out of 10) 2/10 ( bumps alot with the tyres pictured)

Coilovers come in many different flavors. It's not a matter of "coilovers aren't for me because one set was uncomfortable", but a matter of finding the right spring rate and dampening combination. If they are too stiff (dampening only adjusts bounciness), I recommend softer springs on the coilovers (or coilovers with softer springs to begin with).

Offcourse! I love the way the corolla rides when i'm in some corners, but its just too stiff when using normal tyres.

Sorry don’t have pics as I only started on my setup last weekend Ok I have a rear white line sway bar and nolathane bushes all around with stock springs and shocks and advanti 15" low weight rims. I don’t get any dips in to corners and the car handles like a dream 9/10 for the ride

Shocks: KYB Excel G (basically the same as what the US guys call GR2s) Springs: Lovells Sport Lows (~30mm drop) - local suspension place that also makes springs for mining/rail industry and the military Swaybars: Stock AE102 bars front and rear, got a rear Ultra Racing bar ready to go in
Comfort - Pretty good, which is one of the reasons why I only went for Low springs rather than Super Low (which would have given a better ride height but much worse ride quality). Got a bit rougher when I went from 16-17" wheels, but still liveable from day to day.

back to this thread again yesterday I've changed my old struts and shocks and replaced with kyb agx adjustable struts and eibach springs (30mm drop)..I've noticed a very comfortable ride and a nice handling. I've set the struts to the milder setting,some bad photos here from my phone..

Height: I never measured before and after height but compared to my sister's stock ae101 it's about a ~6" drop in the front and ~7" drop in the rear. That's with maxed out fronts with 2 locking collars in place and 1 locking collar in the rear with a custom re-welded knuckle bracket.
Comfort: 5/10. Keep in mind that I enjoy stiff suspension so my 5/10 is probably more like 3/10 for most drivers. I rate it 5/10 because I've ridden in other coilover setups such as Function and Form coilovers for Hondas and they ride really quite nicely, about a 7/10 and I've ridden in extremely stiff cut spring, maxed out shock setups that are more like a 1/10. So the Ksports have in between comfort of that. They can be quite stiff on sharp bumps such as potholes and bridge transitions. Dampening set to full stiff all around.

This is the rear sleeve cut with the knuckle bracket relocated. With the front and rear coils maxed out the car sits sort of stink bugged about 2 inches higher in the rear so I had them modified
How it sits on 15" rims, 175/50 tire

You guys who are dropped on mild springs (1.5"-2"). Are you able to have the car aligned back to oem specs? ie: no uneven tire ware?
