Here is my second model build. Took more detailed pics this time. I think its a 2006 Saleen S281 Speedster but it doesnt say the year. Built this over a period of 2 - 2 & 1/2 weeks. Used Primer and Clear coat spray this time. but I still dont have a spray gun which would be so cool. Well, heres my project:
I started out by washing all the molds with dish soap then rinsing and drying. Then I sprayed the body molds with primer:
Then I started the engine:
Attempted to place a mini decal on the oil dipstick lol
Never got it so I just painted it brown lol (They are real decals, not stickers)
Fitting the Turbo
Fitting to Chassis:
Fittting Exhaust and Suspension:
Interior to Chassis Fitment:
Body Paint:
Forgot to take pics after second coat
but heres the finished product ready for show:
The hood doesn't quite line up, but it works lol
and thats it. All done...though the white rear seat cover could use some more paint

Yes, oh yes. It sure was fun painted all the dash vents and the radio buttons. Went with a pretty crazy colour scheme too. That tan colour (on the vents and door handles) is a wood paint.

It looks like you could get even more detailed with a finer paint brush!

Ha, cant get much finer than this:
The trick is keeping a steady hand.
and Im not sure how I have the patience for this. Im really not a patient person lol. but I guess I was just so excited and interested to use all my mini paints and see how detailed I could get.
Thanks guys
