| Feel free to ask any questions you have! Everything is for sale, but I can't imagine shipping to UK | |

| Great thread! It's the first time I've seen photos of your car when it was stock. It went from looking like a rice mobile to a thing of beauty . So sad to hear that you're parting it out though . Couldn't you have just replaced the motor? | |

| lol, yeah complete rice! But remember, these pics span the last 7 years. Before the work "rice" was invented lol. It is kinda fun to see how both the car and I grew up over the 7 years.
My first engine died the same way before I had done any mods. So this is the second time now. I'm rather fed up with it, because all of these 7afe engines have this problem eventually at high mileage. And this car is rusting to death. I figured it was a better investment for a much better car.

I suppose there's no point throwing money towards something that's only going to depreciate due to rust. 7 years of ownership is very loyal, so at least you'll be able to remember all of the good times you had together. I just passed 3-years of ownership a couple of weeks back, so goodness only knows what it's going to look like in another 4-years, lol. I can't see myself getting rid of it anytime soon, so you're bound to see countless more pics of it popping up all over the place

| I was going to go back with another Corolla. A 1997 so that it was the newest AE102. But I was testdriving them, and they were just so boring and dry to drive. The dealers wanted too much money, and it seemed like kind of a waste to buy a car that I hated stock and then spend a lot more money making it into a beast street car again. So, realizing this, I just increased my budget accordingly and found the IS300! I am very happy with it. And, it is still part of the Toyota family, just a little more mature/grown up, so I feel that it is the perfect direction for me.
Honestly, if it was not for the rust, I would have replaced the motor for a 3rd time.
But I had to make a decision, and I can't go back on it now. I'm sticking with it with no regrets (the new car helps) so that I don't get depressed over it lol. 7 years is a long time, and you see what we both went through.

| i say if you find a really cheap one, buy and keep it as a long term project and transfer everything over, then do a 4age 20v, 3sge or 3sgte conversion on it | |

| yeah but why? I have the IS300 now, and that will be way more HP than the Corolla ever. Plus it is rear-wheel drive and 5 speed auto. That's the thing, I'm not looking to have a money pit for the sake of a money pit. I have no need for 2 cars. In fact, I am biking to work and places more and more now, trying to get out of needing a car at all. | |

| Nah, not really. I did end up cutting it in half and removing 50mm out of the centre then molding it back together. But it mounts up really easy! | |
