| haha like for example.. here in the philippines japan original parts are usually very expensive.. for my cornerlights (orig) its 4x the price of the taiwan corner lights, so I went for the replacement (taiwan) its been almost 6 months now and the performance and looks haven't changed.. so instead of paying too much money for a glass original lights which cost a lot of $$$$ its a very nice investment sometimes.. what do you think? | |

| In my opinion it's whatever works. Like Scott personally has a original JDM thang goin on, all his stuff is original pretty well, and that's the way he likes it. If I can get the JDM things for a good price I'll go for that, but if it's available and substantially cheaper to get a replacement/aftermarket part then of course I'll go for that. | |

| Oh, you mean OEM vs aftermarket parts. Well, it's gonna vary from part to part. | |

| o yes! that's the other word for it! aftermarket indeed. yeah I agree, I suppose it all ends up to the person building the car, if they want all orig oem jdm parts then its really up to the builder. | |

| It depends on how well they match with the rest of the car. Like I have aftermarket tailights and retrofitted headlights and I loveee the way they look because they don't stick out like a sore thumb. Like 20inch chrome rims on a stock Corolla. | |

| I needed to replace 2 rear shocks. So I ordered from Jap parts South London. They were not Toyota branded parts, but they were cheaper and so far I can't tell any difference from the original Vs the non branded parts (apart from the performance in the wallet) . And the same can be said of all the serviceable parts i.e. air, oil, fuel filter, sparks etc. | |
