Corolla Sound's 97 DX AE101 On-Going Project

Havn't posted in a while so I thought Id share some pics. I took these earlier this week and planned on switching one with my car of the month entry, but they didn't turn out as good as I thought. Wish I had a DSLR or it was daylight, thats a cool parking spot.

At the car wash:






Then parked at some small random parking spot on a hill in town:












For the Car wash I used both my Auto and Sunset setting on my cam, then at night I used both auto and nightmode. Nightmode seems to sharpen it up, but it makes it more darker.

Then I took these just now. I painted my Camaro Model the same colour as my car and set it on the hood to see how it matches:



I havn't clear coated the model yet which is why its not as shiny.

hmmm, actually, now that I have posted them, they dont look too bad. I think I should use one as my entry, but which one?

Looks like a lot less snow then last time you posted pics!

Yesterday was raining with a temp of 10 degrees Celsius and its still warm out. So yes, my snow is melting

Hey man that is crazy pics I would never believe that anybody would extend a corolla into a limo wow my family are in the limo industry must show them those wicked pics.

I retract my statement about my car looking big now lol. Thats actually a really good idea, think of how much gas the limo driver would save

That would be pretty cool if the camaro turned into a corolla. or if my corolla turned into a Camaro then I could have some fun with RWD and lots of HP

And yes, unfortunately they drop salt and sand on our roads which makes for a lovely mess. I wish they would just plow the roads and not salt or sand.

I did a quick interior cleaning today and inspected my trunk and found there was a bit of water in both side storage areas. Looks like the drain holes dont drain so good:



Then my custom felt strip fell off my drivers door (plus I have some painting to do). I think I might look for some new door panels next spring, these ones are getting pretty scratched up:


Nothing a little glue cant fix









I wanted to take more daytime pics but I ran out of time. At least my car will be clean for tomorrow if its nice out

I had to take those drain hole plugs out... not sure why they were there to begin with lol.

Hey Dave did you make those holes for your speakers are they for 6.5 ?

The drain hole plugs would probably be more affective if they were designed so they sit flush with the floor. Water cant climb uphill to drain lol, I guess it was designed only to drain large amounts of water.

and No they are only 5 & 1/4, but I still had to make a custom piece to hold the speaker in place.

My drain hole plugs looked like they'd drain, but when I took them out, I found that they weren't actually holes, but just plain old plugs.

This is what it was like before I removed the plugs (full of water)

My plugs had like weird sponges inside of them to keep dirt and stuff from spraying in, but so water could drain out (if it could somehow drain above the drain plug. Maybe if I have time this spring, I will make a custom drain plug lol

And I snapped some more pics today at late sunset in the back of an empty parking lot, though I think my lens could use cleaning, or I need a new cam because my pics seem low resolution:









Then I tried doing my first water puddle (frozen ice for me) photoshoot but the ice wasn't very thick and didn't give a good reflection, plus it was dark...but Im gonna get it one of these days

Think im going to use one of these for an entry:







Lets see how they look after I post them here then Ill decide

Cmon Sheroze, thats no attitude lol. You just need to find the right camera that works for you. I took these yesterday with my new BB phone camera. I couldn't figure out how to directly load them to my computer but I uploaded them to Facebook then saved them from there so I could upload them to photobucket where I applied an autofix to each pic. Here they are (with the auto fix):






Wish I had a good camera for the last 2 shots. That was a big snow cloud approaching, but we only ended up getting about and inch of snow, just enough to cover the ground again after it all melted
