- Just off topic, what if you went with the stock taillights and the center piece painted apart the two altezza style lights.
Not quite sure what you mean. You mean like this but with the stock tails? - Quote :
- hey bro about the transmission flush i change my transmission oil clutch oil brake oil power steering oil every year changing the transmission oil makes the transmission more smooth and increases he life of transmission.
Thats why I want a trans flush, just too extend the life of it, its not running rough or anything. - Quote :
- i also got my suspension changed in my white gl a year ago got all four suspensions and springs for 170 $$ changing those gives a smooth drive but if you dont want to change then have them opened up and serviced and have your feul lines and brake lines also serviced.will improve alot in the car.
What kind of suspension did you get for $170 and where did you get it from. Im in Canada so its the shipping that makes everything so expensive for me.

| Finally got around to putting in my taillights: There! everything matches now lol I noticed my brake pedal is making a clicking noise now, its kinda scaring me! It makes like 2-3 clicks depending on how far you press the pedal. | |

| Looks cool! You do great with the paint.
A clicking noise? Hmm, I wonder what that could be? Is it the pedal making the noise, or something else?

| Thanks, it would of been a lot better if I did an even coat of primer. because I used such a light coat, the base coat came out really "light". Its alot more noticeable in person.
As for my brakes, I checked and listened, it does sound like it is coming from my pedal. How is the rubber pedal cover attached to the pedal? sounds like its a rusty broken washer or something? I felt underneath and it feels disgustingly dirty lol I should get some new pedal covers

| Tails are looking great, now that they are colour matched And maybe it is a washer, like you said, making the clicking noise. But I did have something like a squealing click in the fall, and I just took it to my mechanic, he said it just needed grease or something, I wasn't really paying attention haha. | |

those were genuine ae101 suspensions was trying to make a swap of those suspensions before selling m gl but they wouldnt fit in the diesel one because they wouldnt work well with all the load on them.because diesel cars are heavy compared to petrol.
and these type of things are dead cheap here thats why people prefer old cars then new cars in pakistan.when i would go o the car market ill post some pics of he shops ive come across hundreds of honda and toyota engines and spare parts u could even get a half cut car from there.but shiping is too expensive thats the problem nowadays.

| That would be WAY too hard too tape off lol but it would look neat.
I just re-installed my interior LED lights. Took forever too get it all untangled and positioned and then tuck the wires. Theres 9 little lights (was 10 but broke 1) and there powered by the cigarette lighter. Ill take some pics later when its dark

| Nice inside LEDs! I personally used some of those flexible LED strips... I used like 18" under each area and it was very evenly lit. And bright!
Why you have so many dash lights on? I hope the car's not running?
Did you hook up the 2 little LEDs on the trunk piece?
And I had that idea when I had those tail lights, to paint the center piece and leave the 2 light things exposed. But the hard part is that those are inside the tail lights, and the outer lens would have the paint on it. So, it would only look right from straight on... look at it from an angle, and you'd see a different part of the light!

| I have white led strips under my front seats to shine on the rear, white leds where your feet are in the front and green leds in my trunk. All are wired to my sound system and with the flip of a switch they turn on and go with the beat of the music I should get a pic sometime. But your leds are pretty darn sweet lookin. | |

| Thanks guys. My car was not running in that pic, key was just turned halfway, plus the door was open, my lights on and no seat belt lol.
Yep, my trunk LEDs are hooked up and tapped into the running lights, Ill have to get some more pics. I wish they were brighter.
Oh Yea! I forgot about that, if I painted my trunk n left the lights, anybody who looked at the lights from an angle could see "inside" the lights. That might actually be kind of neat. Now if only there was a way to tape off a perfect circle lol
Thats cool mirroreyes, my friend has lights like that. You were smart though and put an on/off switch for night time driving. His lights just flash all the time and he claims it is very annoying while driving lol

| Yeah, those trunk LEDs are not bright at all. Probably the dimmest bulbs in existance. BUT! They are replaceable! They are just regular 194 sockets with an LED bulb stuck in. So, you could use any red LED bulb (as long as it fit in the opening) | |

| I'd pick the second one for car of the month!
For the center lights, I'd probably get some SMT bulbs.

| Did some engine bay detailing today: I painted the coolant overflow bracket black, just waiting for it to dry. I finally removed the rest of my stock intake, but I still need to take my bumper off or the wheel well trim to get the resonator chamber out. And I cleaned a bunch of dust off as many wires as I could. | |

| I thought you meant "detailing" as in cleaning lol. The black look way better, did you just paint over the rust? | |

| I took the bracket off and sanded most of the rust off with a wire brush and painted it with 3 coats of Tremclad black. Didn't have enough time to take all the rust out. | |

| Good, as long as you got most of it off, that way the paint can stick properly. | |

| So I was thinking about installing my spoiler this weekend and started thinking about how to go about it. I looked under the trunk lid to see where I could mount it. Im not sure as I havn't lined it up with the spoiler yet, but it looks like I can drill mounts through that little open space where you can see wire. Is this where the OEM spoiler mounts (since its an OEM spoiler im installing)? Im going to check now with the spoiler to see if it lines up, brb ...Yep, I used the spoiler and kind of lined it up by eye and it looks like the mounting bolts for the spoiler will line up with that little opening hole in the trunk lid. It looks like it will line up perfectly (as it should since its OEM) | |

| Yeah, an OEM spoiler should be able to line up with the openings in the trunk metal to allow from drilling! | |

| Nooooo!!!! its not lining up I took some measurements: Its approx 2&1/4" between the spoiler mount holes and the longest distance in that hole in the trunk is about 1&3/4" But then theres this issue, its approx 43&1/2" between the 2 mounts on the spoiler and the space between the 2 spots on the trunk are barely 41" apart Must not be OEM. Im curious now to go back to the wreckers and look at the trunk from the car it came from. | |
