| sorry for the noob question... I am sensing some slight issue with my engine, and I suspect it's the O2 sensor... will try to clean it first before completely replacing it... anyone know where it is/they are located? thanks! | |

| what engine do you have? In the californian 4AFE the oxygen sensor is right there in the exahust manifold.
also you could follow the exaust and there sensor isnt far away from the engine | |

| I have the 4afe... and after extensive research, I just found out that mine doesn't have an O2 sensor... I have something called a variable resistor, which I really don't know what it does. it has a knob that looks like an old TV dial... anyway, I think I have zeroed in on the problem in my engine and it's the oil in the distributor soaking contact terminals (notably the one at the bottom, #2), which is causing the engine to misfire really bad... I cleaned it up a while ago and the engine was riding smoother... then just yesterday, it acted up again and found out that there was oil again in the dist. but thanks to your link, I'd give fixing it a shot... all else fail, I'll just buy a new one. many thanks man!!! ) | |
