| Has anyone upgraded their washer jets to the mist type.? I done this a couple of years ago on a vw bora but i cannot remember what car i got the washer jets from. I put mist washer jets into ebay and bought the cheapest ones i could find this is what i done the last time. I ended up buying washer jets for Peugeot/Citroen but when fitted to the corolla bonnet they spray too low and cant be adjusted. So if anyone has done this little mod what car did you get your mist jets from. Pic for example | |

| Interesting, I actually did this "upgrade" to my IS. For whatever reason, they changed from a 3-nozzle spray to a mist spray in 2004 I think. So for me, it was a direct swap. But I imagine that all nozzles are the same, I would assume that the nozzles I used would fit the Corolla just fine! | |

the fit isnt really an issue, double sided tape works wonders its just weather they are adjustable or they hit the right spot on the screen. the Peugeot ones i bought dont even spray past the bonnet

| I've never really been impressed by the washers on the Corolla nor the Camry (SXV20), although at least with the Corolla the wipers don't automatically come on when you spray allowing you to really soak the screen before using the wipers (in the Camry the wipers start too early so the screen is still mostly dry).
To fix this I've ordered two sets of ACV36 Camry washer jets (85381-AA042), these are the first Camry model to have the "fan" style resonance chamber jets which gives a much wider and evenly distributed spray pattern. The reason why I went Camry rather than a newer Corolla (which has the same style sprays) is that the bonnet angle of the Camry should be closer to the 101 than the newer more slanted bonnet styles, which affects the angle that the sprays are aimed at (a newer spray will be aimed too low on the windscreen of a 101). Supposedly they clip right in and the only mods you have to do are to lengthen the water hose coming off the y-piece due to the different fitting on the bottom of the washer.
I'll post up some side-by-side comparo pics when I get them fitted.
