| I need to do a few things to the center console in my '95 'rolla. I need to swap out the dying remote tape deck with the CD deck and replace the HVAC light as well as the defroster bulb.
My top priority is not damaging the console and leaving as little marks as possible. This appears quite difficult as the whole thing is seemingly held together by clips. Has anyone done this? What tools should be used?

| when i pulled mine apart, theres 2 screws under the HVAC panel, remove the bottom half, then tuck fingers under the HVAC panel and pull it out slowly | |

| Yeah, you just have to pull really hard on that piece. It has one clip in each corner. | |

| No tools? Nice. I hope it doesn't crack.
What about the AC button? Should it be removed prior? In the Haynes manual, it conspicuously went missing between illustrations.

| AC button just pulls straight out, you can either pull it out beforehand or it'll just pop out when you pull the face-plate out. | |

| Yes it comes out with the panel but if your going to install a new CD/Radio I suggest you use a harness that way you won't have to cut the wires & it makes it more simple since it plugs into the existing plugs & all you have do is match the wire colors to the CD/Radio unit. | |
