My Custombuild Rear Strut Bar

Hi Guys!

Here's my new custombuild part for my beloved ae101 = rear strut bar




Last Christmas, I bought a new electric arc welding machine [Christmas gift for myself]. I was surfing in the net [as usual] then I came across more pictures of ultra racing ae101 rear strut bar. I thought that time, maybe I can make my own rear strut bar. I look some materials at my garage and found some angle bar, flat bar, pipe etc., now it's time to use my new welding machine.

first, I made a pattern



cut, weld and drill some hole to the new bracket



measure the length, cut, weld the pipe



paint the strut bar, attached sticker





assembled the strut bar



attached to my car

I made the design simple and rigid so it's function will be worth.

and my engine first gen 4efe [ECU 4efte turbo] with OEM 3-pt. strut bar  



plus 4 short struts and lowering springs the ride became more stable specially in hard cornering at highways.

my future plans, make a front tie bars [I will think the best design first]

given that you are handy with the welder you colud add the cross bar to your front strutbar

Wow, you made your own rear strut bar?!?! Awesome! I was kinda disappointed to see you've only got one bolt on each side... IMO, it should be all welded, and there should be more holding the bar down to the bracket. The stiffer, the better!

And yeah, definitely do a bar over the engine!
