My Red 97 4EFTE Toyota Corolla Wagon Big Update :)

Well guys said id throw few pics of my wagon on here, she went thru good few changes hope ye all like it
Bought the car looking like this with a busted gear box, it was owned by a lovely couple witch had it for the last 3 years




First thing that had to be changed was the gearbox i did not want to go for the same 5 speed box so decided to go for the better 6 speed box from the newer shape 1.3 g6 corolla got the box

And fitted the box straight away, did all the work myself

The forklift was very handy for the job haha

Next thing on the "To do" list was to try and restore the paint as it was very very faded from sitting in the sun
Had to go over the whole car twice with the buffer, it turned out nice after all big difference



The suspension was in a very bad way shocks were so bad that only the springs were holding the car up, went and got 4 new KYB shocks + 4 new 35mm lowering springs

Always wanted to go for the wooden look inside the car so got myself a nice Nardi wooden steering wheel + Wooden center console + a Nardi wooden gear knob



Next on the list was to do something about the brakes... wasnt very happy with the way they preformed especially with the drum brakes in the back so got a complete AE111 back subframe + hubs + discs and did the conversion



I also used the AE111 ARB as it is thicker than the standart corolla ARB, it made a big difference in the handling

Car was missing the floor maths so got these

Picked up a 20v/Gxi front bumper and got a booster lip to go with it


For wheels i went for something different, got myself made a nice set of 15" corolla steelies and got them banded
The back wheels are 8" wide and the front wheels are 7.5" wide, i think the fill the arches nicely

And with the tyres on, for tyres i went for 195/45/15

Said id freshen up the engine bay a little bit and got the rocker cover polished

Then it was time for the wheels again i said id do something different and got the wheels polished as well

And then sprayed the back of the wheel red to match the car color and just lackerd the front of the wheel, and the result

Also the car has a full 20v/Gxi interior have to take few pics tomorrow

Thanks man, the next thing i will try to do is to try and custom fit a set of 20v/Gxi side skitrs on, and in the near future maby go for an 4efte or a st205 engine

Nice, the interior looks well! The more I see that bumper lip combination, the more I convince myself I need something similar

Cool yoke! Did the back seats fit straight in ?

Very nice wagon man! Love the wheels, I can't say I've ever seen (or remember seeing) that front lip before though   but it looks awesome.

Thanks alot man, that lip is fairly popular down this side of the world

Quick update boys and girls got a jap grill from Scott in NZ absolutely delighted with it, absolute gentleman to deal with, also got my very special bug/stone chip deflector and got the square metal pressed plates





New tow strap

Wow! I always loved the wagons because it's unlimited things you could do to them. Great Job!

Big update 4EFTE engine new wheel color and sideskirts
The car was off the road for about 7 months going thru a heart transplant


And after about 2 hours engine was out

This is how the new 4EFTE engine sits in

Also i got a front mount put on it and sprayed it black for that sleeper look

Picked a new color for the steelies as i wanted something different, went for a mixture of few colors ha



And a quick picture of the car at the last Toyota meet

Next on the list a big TD04 turbo kit that i have from a impreza wrx
