| Hey Guys! Haven't been active on the site in a while. Who'd have thought that Engineering is such a hard and time-consuming course So I've been searching like crazy for online specs of the 2C diesel engine, and the 2CT. Reason being that I really want to turbocharge the engine. As far as I know, the cylinder head, manifold and turbo is all I need with regards to modifying the engine. Supporting mods will obviously come later. Pistons and everything else are the same. A friend of mine is selling the above mentioned parts, as he had a transit with the 2CT and he bought loads of spares. What do you guys think? An engine swap would be ideal but its not on the books. Recently had the pump refurbished, cost 180 euro but was worth it. Any sort of feedback is welcome | |

| If you need to know anything im happy to post it up. I have two projects on the go atm both using the 2c. One is a 69 corolla that will have a hot rod 2c with bigger pump and either a supercharger or hybrid turbo or both undecided yet as im only part of the interested party. My new daily is a jdm 94 ce100 which I will be hotting up soon. I did get a turbo for it that I was gunna rebuild but now im undecided on it so im back to plotting data onto maps (not real fun). If its small boost your looking at 8-10psi and your engine is ok then just build a manifold to suit a turbo, and play with fuel. | |

| Ah cool. DO you know if the manifold off the 2c-t is a direct replacement or do I need anything else? | |

| Ah cool I'll look into it. I heard from a reliable source that I'd need the cylinder head and the manifold off the 2ct... I think it really is a question of finding one and trying it :/

| My fsm shows them as one and the same from 1c through to 3c. Ill check the parts data base though. It all comes down to how much boost you want to run. If your looking at low boost then you really dont need to touch your engine unless its sad. If a compression test shows all 4cyl to be good then strap on the turbo dial in more fuel and leave it as done. Although the 2c is mechanically injected it lacks a boost compensator so once dialed in there will be a small puff untill the boost builds. One thing id suggest is if you can cap off the egr, that was the first thing done to my 2c although egr wasnt required for a 94 diesel here. | |

| Thats great news! Finally hahaha I needed a straight answer like that! Best part is when I go for the VRT (Vehicle Roadworthiness Test - our version of an MOT) I'll just switch everything back to standard to avoid hassle... I'll start looking for the parts then. I should be able to find some parts as here the 2C-T is put in those old BMWs for drift and economy in street cars. Anyway. THANKS! | |

| Ooh similar to that used on the 3S engines then. Having read loads of build threads I've not seen it done but would this in theory make diesel mounts the way to go for a 3S-GE conversion? Or Am I missing something? | |

| Are the front and back mounts not also on the gearbox? Front mount certainly is on my car. I thought the rear too which leaves the Rav4 mount as you suggest. Have found an excellent online resource for drawings with part nos for all Toyotas. Will post a link soon. Confirmed the 2.0 diesel gearbox is the same casing as that fitted to celica so hopefully will make the swap easier | |
