| Hey guys and gals. Meet my friend SuperSlowrolla: She is a 1995 Toyota Corolla. She was a 3 speed automatic until I molested her into a 5 speed manual. I bought the transmission from a dude on craigslist from a said to be "4age 20v silvertop" which is a C52 for $75 in unknown condition a couple years ago. I took my chance since I knew I was going to convert to manual and transmissions are a dime a dozen at the junk yard. With a dime a dozen corolla's at the yard, I managed to pull all of the conversion parts and went to work. Also finished up my 5x114.3 lug conversion all around for better brakes and better wheel selection. Goals are to get 40MPG but that'll never happen. The most I've ever gotten was 34MPG. Basic maintenance done to improve MPG like distributor rotor, cap, plugs, fuel filter, o2 sensor, clean out the gunk in the intake manifold, and other small stuff. I've got 8th gen S front+rear seats, 9th gen grey steering wheel, RPM cluster swap, and 8th gen S shift boot for interior. I've always wanted an FX GT front bumper but the bank account wouldn't let. So I'll have to wait on that. I'm also looking for a euro rear garnish panel with no reflectors. Enough said, onto a few pictures: When I first took her home Steering wheel swap Gunk=Poor MPG 8th gen seats Rear seats Back in her prime time | |

| Looks good, you've done some of the hardest projects on the car. Shoulda gotten a black steering wheel IMO. And I was up to 45 MPG in my Corolla, it is possible. | |

| I do have a black steering wheel. 2 to be exact. 1 that is in the MR2 with red stitching and 1 in the garage waiting for my future car, a Supra. 45 MPG for me would be a dream come true! I've only gained a few MPG after the manual swap. But maybe I'll tackle another hard project. V6 swap if the funds let. Right now I'm just getting ready for spring with the wheels I have and lowering her again. | |

| Ah, well the black wheel would match the interior a bit better I think I had it and loved mine! Getting 45MPG requires Acetone in the gas, plus many tips and special driving techniques lol. | |

| My corolla is also a 3 speed auto. Nice to read that we can do a manual conversion. Hey more pics of you front seats. I took the same seats. Not yet installed. But is same easy. I gauge it at the junkyard installing them in a ae101. But want to know how you did it. | |

| I totally forgot about this thread. miib14, there's a lot of different parts that went into the 5x114.3. How hard? I'd say about 4 out of 10. 10 being the hardest. John-117, the 8th gen seats pretty much bolts right in. Same with cluster. Updated rear seats. With the 2 other cars, it's hard to spend money on the corolla. | |
