| When my engine will shut off i noticed that my distributor was hot. my distributor is look like this, by the way what kind of distributor is this: I bought my distributor assembly last month December, 2012. Is it normal that the distributor is hot when the engine is on? | |

| hmm, I have actually never noticed, but I would assume it would be normal for the distributer to be hot (since it is bolted to the engine) but I dont actually know if it is suppose to get hot?
Does your engine check light come on when your engine shuts off?
Is it actually shutting completely off (stops burning gas?) or are you just loosing engine power?
...I was driving this morning through a foot of snow which all got sucked into my engine bay and somehow knocked my coolant reservoir onto my battery which caused the battery light to come on. I repositioned the reservoir tank and the light went out after a minute.
So it just goes to show that it could be the simplest thing that can cause problems lol. | |

Hello sir Corolla Sound, my lights were on, only the engine was shut off, there were no electricity was passed into it. Likewise I noticed that the distributor cap was very hot you can´t touch it. - steffon.pragg.7 wrote:
