| This DIY was done on a 20 valve gearbox and borrowed from Playtoy forum (South Africa 20 valve community) - Evo wrote:

Parts 5x Gearbox oil of your choice(We used ATF)
Castrol ATF by Evo_Z, on Flickr
Tools Jack 24 socket 10 spanner/socket Container for oil
*First loosen the "fill" nut before u drain, u don't want to drain the gearbox and not be able to get the fill nut loose*
1. Jack up the right side of the car(gearbox side) 2. loosen the plastic cover under the car(10 spanner/socket) 3. Locate the drain plug on gearbox.(Excuse the old CV grease) 4. Initially loosen drain plug with the 24 socket then turn out by hand, Ensure that the container for the oil in directly below.

5. Once all the oil is drained re-fit the drain plug. 6. Locate,loosen and remove the filler plug on gearbox(24 socket)

7. Open the gearbox oil and extend the internal pipe

8. Insert the pipe into the gearbox and squeeze! Proceed to do this with all 5 bottles. 9. Re-fit filler plug and basically you done, All thats left to do is put back the cover and lower the car.. Take the car for a drive and then inspect for any leaks | |
