Dow's Build Thread

Well as you know i own two Corolla's now, one is a black 93 Auto trans with a sunroof and the other is a white 5 speed with nothing cool on it at all. i got the black one back in April as a project car to build as nice as Tyler's (aka Kickfli12 / my brother) but when it got down to it the only thing i liked about the car was that it had blue LE seats and a sunroof. So i fixed it as my senior project and i slowly started to get really in to it. Like it started with little things such as a new cluster then the arm rest and a radio. Just little things to keep me busy. here is a small list of a few mods i did to my car.

Interior:

LE Seats
Instrument cluster W/ Tach
Big armrest
crotch vent
intermittent wipers
digital clock


Exterior:

LE rear reflector
jdm black housed headlights
OEM mud flaps
aftermarket window visors that say "corolla"
jdm rear window visor
OEM FX-GT front bumper cover
OEM FX-GT Fog lights
OEM 8th gen corolla s sideskirts
Subaru impreza wagon hood scoop


Engine:

Semi-Polished upper intake plenum
Semi-Polished Valve Cover
OEM Denso Iridium Plugs
NGK spark plug wires
full 3" tsuedo catback exhaust



Steering and Suspension:

OEM Gold 14" Enkei mesh wheels
oem ae92 3 point strut bar
Tein s tech springs

Here are a few pics of it when i got it and i slowly started to add stuff to it.







































Well right before Christmas i was being dumb and pretending that i could drift and i blew the suspension and broke the fly wheel. Here are some pics of the Flywheel when Tyler went to replace it.







We thought that i blew the engine so i started to look for a new one, and before i knew it i found my white one. Its not much but it was a new start. i started swapping my parts over and this is where the white one starts and the black one ends. Just a few pics of where im at in swapping my parts over. All i have left to do is change the intake manifold, valve cover, and the exhaust and the black one will go up for sale.











And i am now trying to build a front lip for it from a 96 integra. here is my progress.

tne white one does look alot cleaner than the black one.
lip looks good, but its completly different to one i got on mine, but cant wait to see the finished product

No the white one dose not have a sunroof. I really wish it did. i wanted a white 5 speed with a sunroof but every sunroof i ever seen on a corolla the car was auto. and yeah i plan on do a motor swap when i get everyone i owe money to payed off, i should have everyone payed off here soon. i want to put a 3sge in it but idk how much it will all cost!

I guess the sunroof is as much a "luxury" feature as was the auto tranny, which is why they were always together.

All I have to say is you're going to pay a shop to have it swapped. I'm not doing all that work to a car unless its my own.

man u guys just remind me of my brother and me...we both were also like this few years back.....and tyler bro..bought the led bulbs and fuse conectors...only the main thing is remaining...will buy it together when ishaq comes.....

hey man is yours an auto? the black one still runs im just selling it because i got the white 5 speed.

They both look like really nice cars dude, too bad about the black one though but regardless, Ill be looking forward to seeing what becomes of it in the future

Learned my lesson, in a FWD Sunfire and a violent roll over lol. 2 broken legs and a body full of shards of glass was enough for me. Now im a grandpa driver and usually hold up traffic on highways

Well ishaq, all I have to say as be very careful. It only takes a second to slip up and potentially lose your life. I've had a close call myself in an 85 beamer

yeah i know what you mean, i only risk it once iv done a whole load scenarios in my head and risk assesment.. this is usually done in split seconds in my head but once i put my foot down i know exactly what the car is capable of and what i can push it to but at the same time il be concentrating on my surroundings, looking at different drivers and the way they are driving..

i drive like a mad man once iv thought it through.
Safety always comes first then fun..

thanks man ....also want the same thing but i will make my curent rolla into pearl white and would be cutting the roof for the new seg sunroof setup.........
