The urge to buy a new car!

Since it starts to snow this week, i cant drive fwd anymore. It's just to easy to get stuck..Cant be late for school, work etc..
Found a Tercel for sale now, cheap as crisps.. i want it soo bad
I do have my Old nice audi.. 2.2 litre 20v turbo and 4wd.. but that doesnt appeal to me right now! I want a Toyota Tercel!

why not look around for a rare AWD AE101 Corolla. Im pretty sure they exist, or maybe its a different chassis code, but there are AWD Corollas. Ive never really had much opinion on Tercels, but the more I look at the top picture, the more it grows on me.

AWD Corollas are common here. My 1.6l Saloon is rarer
Mostly wagons and 7afe 110bhp. Would be cool to change the engine in one..3sgte or something!

I assume the Terc is AWD?

Its fwd normally, but if you clutch in and pull a lever it has 4wd or 4wd low range!
Its just a difflock in the center, so its 50/50 power to front/back

i agree with chris the rear windows go down it just doesnt look right :S as i said though if u like it and its practical then why not certainly different

The point is to have fun in the snow. having a car that i can drive off the road with, without any problems. I will post a vid of me driving when i get some wintercar
Price has to be less than my monthly salary and it needs to be rwd or 4wd

The plan was to use the beemer this winter, but i hit a fence and wrecked it :p


Now, im looking after a Toyota Tercel, Toyota Ae102 4wd (but they are too expensive) Subaru Justy, Nissan Laurel or some rwd euro car.
So you see this beauties, and then you see how the Tercel would be perfect! Somewhat ugly, but a damn good 4wd system

rwd in the winter? You wouldn't get two feet here in the snow haha. I think the Tercel would be a beast. Your passat looked really awesome too btw, I wish you could get awesome cars like those for a price even remotely close to that here lol.

All the cars was really ready for the scrapyard!
The passat had soo much trouble, to get the viscous coupling to work i had to kick the clutch and make the front wheels spin for atleast 5-7 seconds.. then the rearwheels started pulling and i could put the cars sideways! But it was pretty fast. Smaller pulley on the supercharger and a chip
Rwd in the winter yeah, sideways all the time.. I need to park it some distance from my house, or else i would never get to use the car a Rwd would be stuck by my house until the snow dries up. You see the hill i have to "climb" behind the first picture of the audi..

Some old friend of mine offered me this piece of garbage for 300£..Volvo 744

SHould i buy it, or should i wait for the perfect tercel?
Its snowing outside now... and i have no wintertyres for my Ae100 Need a wintercar asap..For the same price as wintertyres perhaps? hehe

Even if they were ready for the scrapyard, at least they ran and you could get some fun out of em haha

I'd wait for a tercel, but I'm not sure how long you'd be able to wait if it's snowing there already and you have no winter tires on :S I too need winter tires badly haha, it's supposed to snow like a foot or so this weekend.

Have you ever had any rwd on snow? It's silly fun! Only disadvantage is that i have to walk 200meters in the snow every day.. and often the snowploughs have ploughed the car full of snow... -_-
Then its wayy better with a 4wd
Also, there are some ice racing around here.. then a 4wd would be awesome compared to a rwd

But we have alot of mountain roads which is not in use. Then the Volvo is the best! The 240 i had was no problem to put sideways in 100-120kph on good snow! (altough i had very little skill then, and i put that car into a ditch pretty fast )

Can't say I've ever driven a rwd car, ever haha. Trucks are another thing since 2/3 of the population here are redneck's with lifted trucks and HIDs, but rwd in the snow is hella fun.

A day away eh... in that case, as long as it can lug you around for the winter, then you should probably go with the Volvo haha.

Ice racing :O what the... that sounds awesome! Even the mountain roads haha, there's so many back roads around here to just rip down too, great fun.

Drifting a rwd truck is really strange, you cant really feel what you are doing

I'm not saying that a 4wd is boring up a mountainroad, its just much much more scary! Because you have to drive super fast to make is slide, and then when it slides, all the wheels have no grip So you are basically on a sled.. But with a Rwd you have the frontwheels to keep you on track.

Alot of guys who own small lakes plough a track on the lake, and take some small money for people to use it.. some even let people drive on the track for free

Get yourself some 4wd and thrash it this winter Nothing is more fun!
