well there was the 4wd versions of the corolla, if you were to get a 4wd version then the floor plan is already there for the propshaft and rear diff, would just be a case of trying to fit the 4age & box inline

| Yer mate its do able. You can buy the intake chambers that face the other way, I've seen a few on trade me. I think the mounts and fire wall would be worst of it, you may be able to squeeze the engine in N-S position without touching the fire wall I'd use a w55 box with a custom prop shaft and a hilux diff, I don't think any of the 4wd rear diffs would be strong enough. Wiring would be easy as, just extend the plugs to the ecu and dash looms. | |
