| Yes, it is very shiny now Rachid, my engine seems to be relatively easy to clean. It was VERY clean when I bought it, so I just keep it clean enough so stuff doesn't get baked on. Don't ever spill any fluids. Also, the engine seems to be incredibly clean burning, I just don't get build up under there. Really, the only dirt under there is dust getting in because I don't have the weatherstripping on my carbon hood. | |

| Ok, well then, maybe next year when I have my garage I'll lift the engine and give it a good clean and paint job | |

| changin mah oil while the hurricane's a blowin Honestly I don't remember the last time I changed oil.... it's been years. So this felt pretty good Lift car, drain old oil, remove oil filter with a plastic bag (no mess) DSC_5636-2 by gold94corolla, on Flickr Products used: DSC_5478-2 by gold94corolla, on Flickr Oil filter is in a weird spot, but it wasn't that hard actually. Again, wrap a plastic bag around it to catch all the oil! Worked like a charm New filter in place (looking from underneath): DSC_5648-2 by gold94corolla, on Flickr Once the old oil is out, replace the drain plug and add new oil. DSC_5666-2 by gold94corolla, on Flickr Done! Good for 10,000 miles | |

| I'm liking the pics, still haven't done an oil-change on the Lancer though. Is your car recommended change every 10,000 miles? | |

| The car has maintenance schedules of 5,000 and 7,500 miles..... though the oil filter says it lasts 15,000 miles and the oil 10,000, so 10,000 it is (or sooner). | |

| So I haven't posted my progress on here, but I finished my custom head light retrofit tonight! Projectors are very customized.... bixenon LS430s. And they came out so freaking awesome!!! OMG I'm in love. The black paint matches the carbon fiber PERFECTLY. soooooo sickkkkk Just some HDR garage pics for now (click for full size) CIMG6002-2 by gold94corolla, on Flickr Replaced one side.... what a huge difference! Mostly the paint and fresh lens. CIMG6007-2 by gold94corolla, on Flickr Both sides DONE! All plug and play. Sorry the pics aren't so great in the garage (not much space). | Awesome mod indeed Chris! Is there a reason other than that it's OEM that you didn't use your FX-R's? | |

Thanks Kenny, I do admit I've had a really good motivation for the past couple of months, which was perfect timing for building the head lights and body work And having a fully-detailed car sure is nice lol. I love my car all over again! - Sgt_Lyna wrote:

A few reasons! One, they are awesome, rare, and very expensive projectors. Makes them exclusive and exotic! And with them modified to bixenon and all, they are the only ones in the world. I strive for uniqueness and making my car my own, apart from other influences. Two, they look amazing in the head lights, you can see they fill out the entire low beam spot! Looks right at home, looks OEM. Love it! And three, they have more output than the FX-R! Especially wider. Here are two pics I took to show the difference, you can guess which is which. | Yup, I filled up the gas for my trip! I'm getting ready to head out on a road trip first thing in the morning. 2000 miles and 34 hours of driving :p Driving down to Florida for the Sibling Rivalry 8 (SR8) meet with the CorollaCarClub (CCC). Then heading back the long way !!! I had a bit too much fun with some tape, though it might not last that long because it doesn't stick to the wax so well :/ CIMG6032-2 by gold94corolla, on Flickr CIMG6029-2 by gold94corolla, on Flickr So I'm out for now, catch you all later | |
