| grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.............. damn thing is a little bit crunchy and now the key wont turn it unlocks the steering lock but wont get to igniton. Sometimes it does if u sit there and constantly wobble the key. Real bad timin my gf needs the car for wednesday and ive no idea what to do  I have taken it out but i still cant get it to work | |

| well iirc if you take the barrel apart, theres like a plastic barrel inside it which you can can turn with a screw driver...
or get a new barrel, the best bits about the car is that there is no immobiliser on the key so a new barrel can go straight on | |

i have taken the barrel out but not apart i dunno how to take it apart as it seems well sealed

| solved for now i gotta use a a pair of pliers to start it but it will do tempory just to shut the missus up  now to order another barrel | |

| How does the key work in the door locks? I found that a key will stop working like that when it needs to be replaced. | |

| well obviously haha, but if just a new key will fix the problem, that is WAY easier! And now that I remember, I did have the same problem. In fact, it was so hard, I broke my key off in the ignition! It was quite hard to get out, but I was forced to make a new key and then it worked like a charm  | |

| take it to a lock smith and get them to have a look at it | |

| yeh i think i will, ive tried 2 keys in it and they both do the same but as u said chris ill go check the keys in the door now. 2secs brb | |

| yeh i think so and damn they arnt cheap I am really suprised how easy they are to remove and use a pair of pliers on tbh! :S still least its working for now | |
