XRS are actually crazy fast, for a Corolla haha. And I do too Kenny, at least the new CEO is turning them in the right direction.

I know whatcha mean. I hate seeing the new 86 badged as a Subaru and a Scion. It just looks too much like a Toyota to be badged as anything else. I know Scion is a branch of Toyota but it has it's own unique distinction from Toyota.

Which is sad, all they are doing is catering to people who need daily drivers, are retired, are parents with children, etc. Nothing fun for the enthusiasts. All the cars are starting to look relatively the same too. I walked around my Toyota dealership when I was getting my car saftied, there was one manual car, just one, and it was a used Dodge Neon they were selling.

thats awesome lee, 9500revs (i would love that), the new 86 looks awesome but theres 3 different cars in 3 different companys which are the same
but there are plans for a new supra though

But yeah, while Toyota is not for the enthusiast anymore, there are other options. But I am really disappointed that the FRS became a Scion after all the hype about it being a new Supra. That was such a let down. And now that I've got a Lexus, I cannot go backwards to the young kid brand Scion. I would get the BRZ in a heartbeat though, once they come out with the STI

no i read that the guys who designed and built the new 86 are actually working on a design for the new supra

The 86 was never intended to be the new Supra (hence it always being referred to as FT86 or whatever all throughout the concept phase, to tie it back to the AE86), it was just that the auto media just likes to speculate and make assumptions based off spy-photos, computer-generated images and second-hand chinese whispers.
