| Really? The Starlet GT's aircon unit would work?
See I didn't know that but I'll contact them tomorrow morning, thanks!

| Makes that much of a difference huh?
Luckily there are loads of diesels here. In fact, the University of Malta use exclusively Toyota Corolla E10 Diesels and Toyota Hiluxs and Hiace's. Its quite amusing actually cause I park near them and get permit-free parking in a convenient place :
So maybe it isn't completely impossible that I find a Diesel corolla that has had racing modifications done to it. Cause most fast cars here are Turbodiesels. Loads of Isuzu Geminis with massive exhausts smoking like a forest fire; not to mention all the Passats, Golfs, Boras, etc...

| well in terms of performance
According to the 1C,2C,2C-T Engine Manual - there is no difference between the bottom end on the 2C to the 2C-T, same crank, mains, big ends, pistons and rods. You may want to check the EPC (electronic parts catalogue ) to see if there any difference in parts - ie pistons and rings to be 100% sure. The Engine block of the 2C has the Turbo oil feed pipes take off points blanked off - so no problem there. Easiest way to turbo it would be to get a used Cyl.Head from a Breakers yard and make sure it comes complete with the Diesel Pump and Turbo.

| The turbo will come later But thanks for the info. Anyway, I've found some links that I can't post (since I haven't been a member for 7 days) about some second hand parts. One of them goes like this: air condition compressor, gas tank and tubing (no condensor) toyota gt glanza starlet tercel windy corolla 2 paseo cynosetc in perfect condition 80 euros for all And another goes like this: Air condition compressor and condensor tat-Toyota starlet GT Advance - 250 euro What do you think? I'm thinking that since these are probably petrol cars I should look elsewhere -_- | |
