Wow thank you guys! And the lens refraction is natural. I have the pic in its RAW format.

I don't use photoshop for anything other than inputting texts. I use Lightroom to bring out the colors and manually correct shadows and over overexposures in RAW pics.

Yeah I just never really saw such a clear, well done lens flare like that! It's kinda distracting actually lol. But again, major props for getting such a clear, well-lit picture with the bright sun full on in the background.

yeh i agree chris I have a canon 40D and a couple of lenses and I cant get anywhere close to that sharp

I even have a DSLR and my pics suck compared to his!!

hahahha! You guys make me not want to enter these competitions anymore!!!

... maybe I should just use my normal camera.

I'm telling you guys, ditch JPEG, take pics in RAW, and use Lightroom! PM me and I'll show you how to get it.

The horrorrrr!! Raw pics tend to always look uglier than Jpegs at first. But that's because when you take pics in Jpeg, the camera already does all your editing and light corrections for you. With RAW, the camera just says screw it and lets you do whatever you want with it. You get much more control with RAW files. Kinda like an automatic vs a stick shift. Once you go RAW, you never want to go back.

Well your edited picture does look better! I'll have to see how to take my pics in RAW and start from scratch.
