What engine oil do you use?

As some of you know i just changed my engine to 4efe (japan)..

now im planning to change the oil just for city driving. My friend recommended Nippon Eneos Motor oil. what do you guys have to say about this oil and what do you guys prefer?

Can't say I've ever heard of that type of oil

I use Mobil or Pennzoil synthetic oil. For the longest time I used Quaker State but I found that it burned waaaay more than most other oils.

Pennzoil synthetic all the way baby! I find that it stays clean longer and burns more slowly than Mobil 1 or Castrol.

Nippon Eneos motor oil is the number 1 oil in japan. good for toyota honda nissan and mitsubishi engines.


so how many kms does your oil take before changing it?

mines around 10k - 15k.

I change my oil every 5000-6000 km or so. After using Quaker state though for my first two oil changes I had to do two quick succession oil changes cause the oil came out black and left my valve cap all grungy on the inside. I now use Pennzoil, or Mobil when they are out of Pennzoil, and don't have any issues.

how's the performance and maintenance of castrol?

i change my oil every month i use delo gold

its a diesel bro oil gets pitch black from day one so one month is enuff and its losses its lubrication in one month and changing the oil this this early helps in maintaining engine lyf and prevents black smoke from the exhaust and helps in the diesel consumption alot.

id use about 2.5 to 3 litres bro... just fill about 2 litres then check dipstick, then just add a little and check

okay, just making sure. It states on the manual the 2e and 4efe engines have the same amount of engine oil requirements. specifically about 2.7 liters.

I honestly don't know a thing or two about diesel engines. now that i do.. we have a SUV that i dont regularly use.. didn't know that diesel engines work that way.. hmm... something to keep in mind.

I mainly use Penrite, but that's an Australian brand so most of you have probably never seen it...
