But essentially the car would still get hot? Plus the material looks reflective so would keep the wheel cool

It would still get hotter inside, but the sun won't hit it and dry it out, causing it to crack. You'd use a steering wheel cover like a dash mat, to protect it from the sun. In this case, the sun can't hit it! So it's overkill IMO.

Yes its a sw protector. Even with the winshield cover, the sun still hits my sw depending on the time and how my car parked. Regardless if its functional or not, its still a great addition for my toyota collection Embarassed

1st switch is for my backboard air purifier, 2nd is for the pole switch (not functional) and the last is for my electronic trunk release... hth
