Summer 2012 Car Pageants/Shows

This is not solely Japanese car related but it's good to digress a little from time to time. Here are photos I captured from my recent outing to the motorsport at the palace 2012 (crystal Palace). That beautiful day bring's out from the dark garages some of these automotive classic eye candy. Here there is a wide range of old road cars through to new hydro/electric power fuel of the future vehicles. But what is really impressive is that owners of very top end sports and classic cars, get the chance to let rip round the track some very expensive and rare cars for the enjoyment of the public (well I think if they rocketed round in a Skoda Octavia it just wouldn't have the same effect) These cars are stunning living and breathing examples, not just there to look at like some old dinosaur bones, but seeing them in action. I left my beautiful Corolla at home to take along my Maserati (I can only dream) At least my corolla will get me there and back. This is a great event if you like an abundance of different types of cars. Plenty to see for a few hours and when the speed laps begin it almost all day of cars whizzing around. Loads of static cars on diplay as well to give the eyeballs and camera a rest from the track events. I would consider it akin to a mini Goodwood festival of speed. And with the advantage of this event not being that renowned, your not cramped in and all the time jostling for a decent view to see certain parts of the show.
