Help with AE100 Car Horn

Good Afternoon guys, I was doing some work on my car which required me to take off my steering wheel. When i took off the steering wheel cover i lost the little spring that makes contact with the electrical circuit and causes the horn to blow. I replaced it with a spring i had lying around that is about 5/8" of an inch.My problem is i don't know the correct length spring to use. So now i have to push really hard to get the car horn to blow where as before the slightest press would have engaged the car horn. Can someone please post an image of the correct spring and or its correct length ? Thanks in advance Attached images of what i'm talking

Maybe it doesn't work well because it's so rusty, so it isn't making good contact

No gold94corolla, i'm certain that isn't the problem. It has to do with the length of the spring
