| Hey guys! I'm making this post to show the processes I'm going to take when installing a cracked tablet I received for free. also, before anyone thinks "Why are you putting effort into installing a cracked tablet into your corolla?" Well I'll tell you. I'm buying a new tablet that will replace it. This one is a test run to see if I can actually do it (even though I know I can). So far I have 2 switches that will be wired to the sleep/on-off button and put into a carved hole in the bottom part to replace my cubby-hole and cupholder. Also, before anyone asks why I'm removing the cupholder, how many cups actually fit in that damn thing?? I can barely fit a medium coke in it!! It will be hooked into my 12v outlet by the cigarette tray. My tray is gone because I do not smoke. It will not have a permanent hard wire. USB plug-in. So, here are my switches. Should I use the red button for my permanent tablet, or the switch for the permanent tablet? Please give feedback! I am open to any suggestions and questions!! | |

| The red button looks a bit random. | |

| thanks miib. Also, wat I took your suggestion into consideration and I will be using the red button but it will be hidden since it will look random on my dash. I currently do not have the funds for the new tablet because I am having to pay for another speeding ticket.... I am furious at myself for getting pulled over again. For the second time in 4 months!! | |

| Sir, you are a genius, I have 2 tablets lying around and didn't know what to do with it. You just convinced me this can be done and will definately try this although my tablets are about 8 or 9 inch. I will find a way to use them with a sliding support. If you have any other write up for the wiring, please let me know, I'm eager to try this out. Again, congrats on a super bright idea. | |
