So looking to buy this sedan as a daily.. BUT

Alright so this sedan was up on CL for $1200 US dollars
it had bad paint painted stuff everywhere it was just plain old UGLY
anyways i just wanted it because i want a daily and i can manage to fix or mend interior & exterior flaws
it had 138,xxx on REBUILT engine @127,000
she doesn,t know why it was rebuilt but it was super dirty.
Im thinking it was rebuilt 8 years ago because the timing belt sticker says 2007



when i met up with the chick i saw that
the car was not maintained or serviced probably since it was rebuilt
coolant was BROWN! oil was a bit dark and the engine was SUPER LOUD!
i have a 96 wagon and my engine has almost 200k and its quiet even a k&n filter
Im thinking it could be the spark plugs or the sp wires.

it doesnt dound like a knock it just sounds like a loud go-Kart.
what do you guys think.

alright do shes giving it to me for $1100
it passed smog
& the reason it was very loud because of an exhaust leak in the manifold
it was sealed by a high temp glue
but i will weld it if i decide to buy it.
its very quiet now.

apart from the looks
$1100 is alright i guess it like buying a set of rpf1s

oh and did i mention it doesnt have 4th gear LOL

but i asked her if i can have the rebuilt paperwork.
we'll see. lmk what u guys think

Hey, I would start with a much lower offer than $1100, have the cash in your hand and let her see u have cash, and keep pointing out the flaws and the costs to fix, start with a low offer like $200 and walk if you can't get a huge discount

I wouldn't mind coolant not being changed, wouldn't be worried about the oil either...it needs to be changed but at least it isn't gone black ha
