auto to manual

Take a 95 1.5afe auto saloon as an example,
i would prefer to have it manual. Its better to have the hole second car when doing the swap right.? What model would be best to buy for the doner

It wouldn't matter what model you got all the clutch work is pretty much the same. The only real difference is the loom and ecu but you can trick the ecu by bridging the neutral start switch.

so then what gearbox will give best performance or will that make much difference on the 1.5afe.?

1.3xli, 1.6si, gxi, e11 sr (willl the gearbox even match up)

IMO the c56 is the one to get they came off the side of the 2nd gen silver top and the black top 20v

Wel since im planing on buying the hole car to do the transplant i wont be getting a 20v, to dear to use as a donor. What other gearboxs have good ratios

I guess the c52 could be in the car you will be getting as that is the box before the c56 and most common. Its a great box it just has taller gears

so what your telling me is any e10 corolla box will match up to the 1.5afe.?

so the swap im guessing is just as straight forward as have the two cars side by side and swapping everything to with the manual over

Iv found a 97 e10 1.3 4efe near where i live, will the gearbox clutch and flywheel work on the 5afe. I just want to be sure before spendimg the money you know.
