| The front swaybar is the same size across all the models (24mm) but the rear swaybar size varies depending on the model. Your current one will only be 14mm. The AE101 4A-GE models had a 16mm rear swaybar (SuperStrut had 17mm) and the supercharged AE101 Levin/Trueno GT-Z had a 19mm rear swaybar. The AE111 BZ-G and BZ-R had a 16mm rear swaybar as far as I know (possibly 17mm on the BZ-R). 2mm doesn't sound like much, but it makes a big difference. | |

Still trying to find out from the guy if the car is superstrut.. How can you tell? The front suspension arms are very different to normal ones. It will also have 'SuperStrut Suspension' written on each side of the car, just after the rear doors. Only the 4A-GE models had the option of being SuperStrut.

| has anyone ever managed to get there car to "handle like its on rails" I basically concluded that AE90 platform handles better than AE100 platform, or it could just be that the AE100 platform doesn't like cornering when it is 4 wheel drive. I had ISC adjustables in my car along with 550lb front springs and 375lb rears, 3 degrees of camber on the front and more caster (adjustable top camber/caster plates) but i was never happy with how it cornered. anyone know the key to getting these cars to go around corners? | |

| Racing coilovers. Mine handled on rails at one point when it had the D2 racing coilovers. It was unbelievably stiff with practically no body roll at all. I wanted to take it to a track soooo bad. I let a couple friends test drive the car and they all loved how stiff and agile it was. It was like driving a whole new car! Very uncomfortable for daily driving though, in my opinion. | |

i had D2's in my car when i first got it going, disliked the fact that , soft, hard and anywhere in between seemed to feel like the same dampening rate to switched to ISC coil overs and instantly shaved 2 seconds off my lap times. the issue i had was being a 4wd, there was no off the shelf heavier rear sway bars available.

| fxgt has 25mm sway bar in the front and 16mm in the back just so you all know if you have genuine bushes pull one out and the size will be stamped on it | |

| Yep, as Kenny said, racing, full-stiff coilovers are the way to go. I've got the BCs on my IS300, and it sure is stiff lol. | |

| I think different caster and or more camber is required compared to what I was running, I was running 3.2-3.5 degrees camber but cant remember the caster angle. | |

| Hi all,
My ae101 is the normal base 1.6 model with no anti roll at the front. The control arms does not have the tab to attached the sway link as well. From what i have observed, ae92 control arms looks also identical to my corolla and it using the pin or rod type of sway links instead of the normal dog bone shape. I am wondering does anyone have any ideals the sway bar of the ae92 will fit the ae101 that i am having instead of changing the control arms? thanks.
