Hard to believe that after 5yrs of being stored in a shed under a mountain of crap (profile pic), i am finally in the throws of getting my car sorted. It has been something i have wanted to do for so long but with having kids and getting married money was an issue. The last few days i have spent almost 3k getting her back on the road mechanically as well as warranted and rego'ed. Was so nice to drive this lil weapon again. I have missed the short shift kit in the box and the pull of the supercharger. Next week or so she will be getting a fresh paint and clearcoat (after a wee bit of panel work to make her tidy). Will add some pics of before during and after starting this afternoon. Right now im heading to the paint shop for supplies
more to come soon

Ok so first off i needed to dig her out of the garage lol (a mission in itself).
Once i had her out i did a few mechanical repairs (suspension, airfilter, exaust, tyres, window washer and a new battery). Got her all mobile and road legal. Unfortunately i wasnt taking picks at that stage was too busy fixing my baby hahahaahaha.
Once back on the road she looked like this
Once that was done i decided why stop there lets paint her 'Nek Minnit' spending more money! But she is worth it ;)took photos today as we progressed along.
Took out a nasty ding a friend of mine did in a drunken moment in the passenger rear pillar.
Once that was all taken care of we primed her up. now we just give it a couple of days while we enjoy the weekend and a few beers. then we sand her up and paint.
So that is where we are so far. Ooooooh and the spoiler has been painted but wont ruin the suprise just yet. Will make sure i get pics as we get the car done first thing next week. Right now im hoping these links work for you guys hahahaha please enjoy and i look forward to reading you comments both good and bad

Thanks guys, am loving having my baby back on the road.
Decided i will fill you in on a few more details about her. My 91 Toyota Levin GT-Z was purchased back in 2000. I had 2 to choose from on the yard (a white one and a black one), i went with the black one as the white one was stock standard. My one as it turns out was an ex race car from Japan. They removed the roll cage prior to sale in NZ (so gutted lol). As i inspected the car on the yard i saw a few features that stuck out and made my decission easy. For starters the exaust had a nice drone and as i looked a lil harder it had a twin pair of FGK Fujitsubo Jasma mufflers. Popped the hood to check the 4 to 2 to 1 Extractors to be greeted by a HKS podfilter sucking in air like there was no tomorrow. It was then i decided i need to test drive this right now! Now i have driven alot of cars in my time as for some years i was a car detailer/groomer. Hunting around for a Levin/Trueno i had driven a fair few. Plus a friend had a trueno that i loved to drive. I had a fair idea that there was something special bout this particular Levin i was looking at, and a test drive would confirm my suspicions. A short shift kit had been added (i later cut the gearstick down giving it a nicer sporty feel) making shifting feel amazeballs. Boosting 10lbs instead of the factory 7lbs (confirmed later when i added a boost guage, which later got stolen) it had a performance pulley kit on the supercharger. After the test drive i knew it had to be this one! At the time she had $10,995 and i negotiated her down to $9,500 signed the paperwork and became her first NZ owner. Since then this car and i have had some adventures to say the least. We have dragged off Holdens, Fords, RX7s, Skylines, VR4s, Supras,WRXs and Evos to name a few. Sure we have been beaten a few times too, and a few highway races allowed me to discover there is no speed limiter in her. The speedo only goes to 180km/h and she is well off the clock in 4th gear. I eventually changed the mags as i won a set of Advanti Vapours (in pics above) in a tricycle race of all things. So from the 195/50/15s she came with i went to 205/40/17s. She has always handled like a dream and performed when i needed her too. I love this car much to my ex's disgust, as she discovered the hard way when she gave me an ultimatum. The car spent a few months off the road and she tried to make me sell it. When she told me it was her or the car she lost the plot when i told her to get the f#@k out of my house lol. My wife knows that this car is everything to me and after the story about my ex she has accepted the car is part of the package. I would rather spend a few grand getting her back on the road and painting her than sell her. There are just too many fond memories tied up in this car. I could never sell this car ....EVER!
Thanks to all those that have taken the time to read my rambling. Please feel free to comment

So today we sanded down the primer, and gave her 3 coats of gloss black and 3 coats of clear with a tint of black for depth and here are a few pics of her drying off in the sun after we unmasked her.
Tomorrow we will be putting the spoiler back on, along with the mirrors. She will get a few touch ups and a good buffing come the new year, once the paint has hardened properly. Then she will be sexy as hell again lol
