| Hey guys I'm new to this forum so forgive me if this topic has been discussed earlier in this Q&A:Brakes section or in any other section of this forum, I live in australia and i have a AE101 94 model, just had my air flow meter replaced and fuel pump, the mechanic gave me back the car and told me that I can drive it around but when the brake pedal gets hard to push, just pull over, pull out one of the vacuum lines on the drives side (which is right side here in aus FYI dont mean to be rude ) which turns the car off but then the brake pedal is easier to push once i start it up again but it keeps having the brakes slightly pressed whenever I'm driving it, i only drove it once for 20 mins brought it back home im trying to figure out what it is the mechanic said something about the membrane and pointed at it but i thought membranes were only in commercial truck braking systems like i said sorry i dont have much knowledge on it but im trying to read into at the moment and find out what it is and how ill be able to fix it any advice or to be pointed in the right direction will be well received and appreciated thanks. Peace | |

Peace Definitely sounds like the brake booster. By the way, what engine do you have? The normal Australian models (4AFE and 7AFE) don't have airflow meters, they have MAP sensors, unless you've got a 20V silvertop 4AGE in there | |
