So I’ve had the car for 4 years now and in for years it has changed, it started life as a stock orange fxgt no mods to speak of. It was a replacement for my wife’s 84 fxgt that was dying of rust as they do. the same day that we picked up the new gt I over heated the old one on some of the cool roads on the way so after a 20min cool down we set of home me in the new gt her in the old one first off impressions it was dam heavy to drive compared to the 84 gt and the 89 gt that I had, so we hit the motorway and I put my foot down and it took off.
The first mod was the rims the one's that came with the car were not to my liking so I sold them for $400 nzd and pulled the rim's off my mr2 and what a difference.
after a year another gt came my way it had had a smack in the front but it was manual and mine was auto so I thought I’d do the swap that still hasn’t happened
my wife wont drive a manual and as it her car I have to go with what she want's:!: so I started pulling parts of the crashed gt and found some jtm goody’s
key lamp set for foot well lights tweeters and 5" rear speakers so the first of the mods went in. I don’t have any photos of them going in.
6 months after fitting the speakers and lights the car fails its wof (mot) test on a sway bar bush. As I was trying to fit the new bushes I found that the rear sway bar was bent so the only thing to do was replace the bar with a new 18mm white line one and this was amazing the car handled great around corners but was still a bit floppy .
ill find my older photo's of the car so you can see the mods after this point
