Japcon from Cape Town South Africa. My daily drive is a Toyota Conquest - e2 motor. I Will post pics soon. Only cosmetic changes, no motor modifications (being a young home owner and studying at the same time depletes your finances )

Must say, this is very organised, not like other forums where guys slander people for asking questions or advice

there you go bud. thats when i purchased her. alot has been done cosmetically. internally (motor, its standard) let me know where to make the post of my ride and i will post from the day i got it to the way it currently looks

thats not right lol.. if it was a 96 then it would look like a a 7th gen e10, not like a 6th gen e9

From what i can say for SURE

is the early 1996 models came out with a 3 slot front bumper with the indicator lenses flush with the front.

my one has the 2 slot bumper which means its a 1992-1994 model its just that my car was bought in 1996 and registered. thats why my papers show it as a 1996 based on registration year

It's quite possible that this car was built in different years than UK, so it stopped in 1992 for most of the world, but kept being built there.

Oh well, nice AE92 you have there Yes guys, this definately is a E9, however as said above in Africa the years don't match up with the rest of the world. The VW Golf 1 was produced there 'till a few years ago Produced yes, as in BRAND NEW.

Anyways, nice 6th gen, any wild plans? Awesome JDM goodies or so? We have someone selling E9 JDM parts here in NL recently. I guess 'cause he seized his project or something like that.
