DIY Combution Chamber Cleaner Empty
PostSubject: DIY Combution Chamber Cleaner   DIY Combution Chamber Cleaner EmptyWed Jan 23, 2013 9:13 am

Well what u need is a

-10/12 spanner
-Ellen key .. [size is the same as the one u remove spark plug cover with]
-AC Delco combustion chamber cleaner and a Clean Lappie and some -Terps

How u do it is….

The plenum has 5 bolts holding it the u need to remove…
Three on top and on on either side at the bottom…
The one on the bottom @ Break fluid side is hardest/most irritating to remove

STEP 1.
Remove plenum bolts..

STEP 2.
Remove plenum

Once bolts are removed.. the cover comes off

STEP 3

Remove the rubber gasket the run along the outside of the plenum cover

STEP4

Pack all tools away and loose items… grab a video camera and ad go for a quick drive with open throttle…
It sounds k@K sweet

STEP 4 [ continued ]

Allow a few min's of idling to return circulation of oil in the engine then switch off ignition

Please remember to do this with the 20v when ever racing or moering the car..
Could cause car to run a bearing ;( touch wood when ever saying that

STEP 5

Proceed to remove the throttle horns, they are these rubber ones found under the plenum cover
U will need the spanner or this… two bolts per horn, remove one horn @ a time…from passenger side to driver side

STEP 6

Clean the throttles wiping it with clean Lappie and terps …remove all dust and grime in the throttle tube..
Do the same for the horns u removed

STEP 7

Start motor and warm to operating temp…
Then a friend keeps revs or 4000rpm while
you spray the AC Delco into each throttle…we have 4 on the 20v Wink
Continue dong this until bottle completely empty

Please note: the cars zorst fuems will white like someone smokking hullese mandrax in the engine….
THIS IS NORMAL lol

STEP 8

Allow a few mins of idling to return circulation of oil in the engine then switch off ignition

Cant stress this enough Please remember to do this with the 20v when ever racing or moering the car..
Could cause car to run a bearing ;( touch wood when ever saying that

Now refit the horns.. refit rubber gasket… refit the plennum cover..
Please note at this time u will be lekker tired… ur almost done hihihih

Make sure all bolts are tight…plenum cover VAS…

STEP 9

Disconnect battery [-] terminal thanks 2zze
Open the fuse box on the passenger side…. Remove the EFI fuse..is a 12v one…
Leave out for 5-10mins to allow ECU to reset itself

Replace fuse once time has expired and close fuse box

LASTLY STEP 10: probably the most important

Have a ICE cold Drink / Beer
