OEM key light (optional extra) -

nice one scott, i have actually got one of these from an MR2 lying about in my car..

What about a OEM light in the glovebox?? does it exist ?

yes... even my KE70 of 1982 have it. But never seen it on the 7gen. Corolla!

seems easy enough to add one, but of course OEM is better.

true.. but if you cant get an OEM part go for the next best thing lol

I don't think they exist. I've seen them in Camrys, but never Corollas.

My OEM optional extra 'Burger Tray' arrived from overseas this morning. Took me ages to find one in plum to match the rest of my interior plastic. They're hard to find at the best of times, but getting one that was plum in colour was a mission. Got there in the end though . Here's some photos - The first one being from the original sales brochure and the rest of the actual item:

Nope. It was only an option for the Corolla SE-G, which only came in automatic. I almost got my hands on one the other day. There was an SE-G for sale here and I was going to buy the whole car just to take the digital dash out but someone else bought it

aw man that sucks, they must be really lucky, hopefully they realize what they bought! But buying the entire car just for the cluster? I'd do that too haha.

Yeah I was gutted as hell. The worst part was that I was all set to click the 'Buy Now' button because I had JUST got the right amount of cash at 6pm that night. When I went to check the listing someone had clicked the 'Buy Now' button at 1pm . Was some lady from the same city that the car was in, and I'm pretty sure she's not gonna have a damn clue about how rare it is everytime she looks at the speedo. Maybe in a year or so I'll track the car down via the licence plate and offer them a ridiculously high price to buy the car, haha.

Yeah that's true. It obviously wasn't meant to be this time around, but I'll continue to keep my eyes open. Gutted that I was so close, but I guess if it's meant to happen it will . Fingers crossed that someday I'll be able to post a pic of it in this thread!

There's still hope bro. I came across an SE-G the other day that was a MANUAL!! . Didn't know that they came in manual. A friend of mine also found an AE101 Levin digital dash the other day which was a from a manual, and we all thought that only the automatic models had the option for the digital one. So there is definitely still hope.

Speaking of the SE-G I came across the other day, it was packed full of features and optional extras. I am keeping the clean box for myself, but am going to sell the key light with driver's side floor light, the burger tray, the 'For Your Life Scene' storage drawer and the power folding mirrors. Can also get your the rear-mounted air purifier if anyone is interested.

My latest addition - A rare OEM (optional extra) under-seat tray. It has a bracket which gets mounted underneath the passenger's seat (screw holes were already there) and allows you to store various items, such as tools, a first aid kit, map books, hand wipes, cleaning cloths etc. It could also come in useful if you're wanting to hide your GPS, radar detector, stereo face-plate etc when leaving the vehicle unoccupied. First one I've ever come across and I got it for a steal . Was hard to take photos of it, but here it is:
